Paper Airplane Building
In this activity, building and testing three dierent planes mirrors the
job of an aerospace technologist who would work on the construc-
tion and maintenance of dierent types of aircrafts. These skilled
trades workers are essential when it comes to providing safe and
enjoyable air travel for all.
The project lets us experiment with dierent types of plane
construction and structures as we build dierent models. The main
focus of the project will be the essential skill of continuous learning
because along the way we will learn what type of plane flies the far-
thest.

StepsFollow the instructional video on how to build each dif-ferent type of paper airplane First we’ll begin with the basic paper plane foldNext up create the Bumble Bee style planeFinally create the stealth planeFeel free to decorate all of your planes before conduct-ing your test flightGrab a friend and a measuring tape, one person must stay in the same spot and test fly all three planes. The next will grab the measuring tape, have the thrower hold the end of the tape while you measure and record the distance of each planeDetermine which plane flew the furthest and determine which part of the plane you think helped it fly the fur-thest.
