LAMINATED AND BONDED SERIES PANELS Panelite’s lightest weight translucent honeycomb panel, composed of pre-fabricated fiberglass, polycarbonate, or acrylic sheet facings laminated to structural honeycomb cores.

Recommended uses for Laminated and Bonded Series:

• vertical wall applications including partitions, backlit walls, atrium walls, feature walls• doors: sliding, pivoting, hinged• signage panels• ceiling panels• vertical furniture elements including privacy screens and counter fronts

CLEARSHADE™ IGU SERIESExterior-grade, non-combustible insulating glass units composed of glass-facings and tubular honeycomb core. Can be customized to meet a broad range of performance criteria and offers superior shading and privacy while maintaining visible light transmission.

Recommended uses for Insulating Glass Units:

• exterior façade panels • sloped exterior glazing and canopies• interior vertical wall applications including partitions, backlit walls, atrium walls, feature walls

PANELITETM SLIDING SYSTEMSPanelite’s lightweight, translucent panels are inherently rigid due to their construction of an inner honeycomb core bonded to resin or fiberglass facings, making them ideal for sliding door or wall applications.

• telescoping systems• curved sliders• multiple-panel systems (double or triple wide)• locking hardware• side mount profile for wall mounted applications• surface mounted or recessed track optoins

CAST POLYMER SERIES PANELSTranslucent facings are cast directly onto the honeycomb cores to produce our strongest and most versatile translucent honeycomb panel.

Recommended uses for Cast Polymer Series panels:

• vertical wall applications including partitions, backlit walls, atrium walls, feature walls• doors: sliding, pivoting, hinged• signage panels• ceiling panels of modules up to 48” x 120” • furniture applications such as countertops, desks, tables, shelves, privacy screens• light load-bearing applications, i.e., display pedestals• interlocking wall elements using Panelite’s proprietary ITL installation system. See page 13 for details.

PFS : PANELITETM FRAMING SYSTEM This storefront-type glazing system can be pre-fabricated to order or shipped in stock lengths and is compatible with all Panelite™ honeycomb panels.

Recommended uses for the PFS framing system:

• interior vertical wall applications where ease of installation and ability to remove panels are considerations• compatible with PaneliteTM sliding doors to create complete partition systems• system options do not include curves, hinges, or doors

PANELITETM CUSTOM FABRICATION AND CONTRACT FURNITUREPanelite offers a wide range of custom fabrication and furniture for commercial, hospitality, institutional, and exhibit applications Cast Polymer Series panels are scratch resistant, non-off-gassing and food safe.

Applications:

• Café Tables• Conference tabletops• Countertops• Reception desks• Lightboxes and column covers• Display elements• Benches and seating elements

All Panelite product codes are constructed as acronyms that refer to the product’s composition.

Honeycomb panel product codes are constructed as follows:(Panelite Series)-(Honeycomb core material)(Facing color)

USER’S GUIDE TO PANELITE

Light transmission and visual privacy. Panelite’s product lines offer varying degrees of light transmission and visual privacy, from the most translucent Laminated Series tubular core panels and ClearshadeTM IGU series to the least translucent Cast Polymer Series and Sheet Laminates.

High strength-to-weight ratio.Due to their integral honeycomb core, Panelite™ panels are extremely stiff and lightweight, and require minimal structural framing. Note: high strength-to-weight ratio is not applicable to Panelite Sheet Laminates or ClearshadeTM Insulating Glass Units.

Architectural thinking. Panelite is a company founded by architects. Every project is approached from an architectural perspective and all new product development is committed to contributing innovative, sustainable and inspiring materials to the fields of architecture and design.

Organic aesthetic. Each panel is the expression of its production process and component materials, which are fluid or flexible in nature. Our honeycomb cores are so lightweight that they have the suppleness of textile before they are bonded to translucent facings to form extremely stiff composite panels. Some of our panel facings are cast and retain the viscous appearance of their original liquid state. The fluid nature of these materials yields a dynamic aesthetic, similar to the grain of wood or the texture of marble.

FACING TYPE:

CLEARSHADETM IGU Series codes indicate the silicone color (grey or black) and the honeycomb core type and cell diameter

IB-TC4 = Insulating Glass Unit - Black Silicone / Tubular Clear core, 1/4” cell diameter IB-TW4 = Insulating Glass Unit - Black Silicone/ Tubular White core, 1/4” cell diameter IG-TB4 = Insulating Glass Unit - Grey Silicone / Tubular Blue core, 1/4” cell diameter

Standard colors for IGU panels: Glass: Clear, Grey, Bronze, Light Green, Light Blue, Low-Iron, Low-ECore: Clear, Blue, Red, Orange. White, Black, Custom Colors available > 1600sft.

Cast Polymer Series product codes indicate facings’ resin color.C-AOO = Cast Polymer Aluminum Over-Expanded with Orange ResinC-PEC = Cast Polymer Woven PET with Clear ResinC-P8R = Cast Polymer Woven PET Big Cell (5/8”) with Red Resin

Standard colors for Cast Polymer panels: Clear, Dark Blue*, Blue, Very Light Blue, Green, Orange, Red. *AO core only

Laminated and Bonded Series product codes indicate the color which determines either Fiberglass, Glass Cloth Laminate, or Polycarbonate/Acrylic [PMMA] facings. For standard colors see pages 05- 06

Mica laminates are composed of natural mica splittings bound with fiberglass and shellac or alkyd vinyl resins. Workable with standard carpentry tools, they can be used as translucent infill panels or mounted to a solid substrate (see specifications at www.panelite.us). Mica panels can be cold-curved (M-S, M-A) or thermoformed (M-A) on site.

LAMINATE OPTIONS(M-A) mica splittings with shellac resin. (M-S) mica splittings with alkyd vinyl resin.

SUSTAINABILITY + LEEDMica, the main component in Panelite’s Mica Laminate product line, is a natural, non-hazardous and biodegradable mineral product. In Silver Mica panels (M-S), the mica content makes up 96% of the panel composition. The final 4% is a non-toxic resin. In Amber Mica panels (M-A), 90% of the panel is mica and the final 10% is shellac – an organic binder that is FDA approved for food consumption environments.

Mica panels are post-consumer recyclable. Panels can be recycled to produce industrial grade panels.
