(Location) This place is so amazing and relaxing. The food was so amazing! You offered everything anyone could want! The cabins, being away from everything, loved the workshops, very useful information that I personally can use. ~Food-I really enjoyed the food. It was more than I expected. Very nice spread with all the fixins! ~I had a really great time, learned a lot about other programs in the state and about VISTA in general. ~Food was great. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. ~Food, all of it. ~Meals Fabulous Everything especially the location and people! ~Laid back, casual, adaptive ~I had a great experience, was very grateful for understanding when I had to leave early for my child being sick. ~Beautiful area for the training! Loved the deer that came to visit! Loved being able to meet all the Promise VISTAs and learning all about the projects they were involved in. LOVED making the tie dyed t-shirts!!! Dislikes: ~I don’t have any complaints. ~Going over reports at the end of the day, would have been better in the morning. ~N/A ~I honestly didn’t have anything that I actively disliked ~No cell service! Hard to contact family to check on son. Would Like: ~I can’t really think of anything that I would like, but I’m still pretty new to all this. ~A guy/woman from a large business to talk about ways of asking for $ politely. ~To do another training like the one we attended at FLOC. The outside environment with the obstacles and team building exercises. Food Ideas: ~It’s not a food, but Herbal tea for hot tea. Ice-cream!!!! Everything was great here. ~None, food was great! ~Keep Taco Night!!!!





Training Ideas: ~Could contact Betty King from WV Symphony to come talk about what things they can come do in your community for kids or give some resources. ~I feel the speakers were very informative and show that many different aspects of being AmeriCorps member. As for being new, maybe an introduction about the training, what it will contain, how often it will happen, purpose, although these questions were answered. Also, I do feel more stable in what my position is and how to act and what to ask to clarify anything I was unsure of. Being around and interacting with other Promise members the Director (Pam ) really is invaluable and I feel this is a really beneficial training, so Thank You!! ~More “hands on” activities, such as building a resume you can use, in a workshop
