November 2, 2017

Dear Madden Families~

I hope your year has settled in and your schedule has gotten into a routine. As many of you know, we all want high expectations of a rigorous curriculum to be imple-mented on a daily basis to our huskies. The staff and administration are asking for your assistance in your continuous supportive partnership throughout the entire year. I have received several requests to leave school for an extend amount of time for numerous reason during the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday and Winter Break. Please understand that any amount of lost instructional time away from school is demanding for all student’s educational success. We all understand that special circumstances may arise. By showing that we hold education dear to our heart, we show our children it is important. We know working as a solid, unified team… we can see our children excel to extraordinary educational milestones by having them in school daily.

Thank you for working to put Madden Elementary on the map day by day by valuing attendance.

Husky Safety

WOW! Thank you so much for assisting all families in a safe arrival. Since the cones have been put up again... our arrival has been

going very smoothly. I greatly appreciate all the parents following our safety procedures on arrival. A huge shout out to everyone

as most of our huskies are being dropped off even before 8:05AM. WHOO! HOO!!! Per our handbook, all huskies need to be in

their classroom on or prior before 8:10AM to not be counted tardy.

FYI- Our wonderful teachers do not have to be at Madden until 7:50 AM. We do have parking for our teachers in the back and the

front of the building. Even though most of our teachers get here extremely early and way before our 7:30AM when the building

doors open, we are trying to assist our fine educators in their smooth transition arrival in the morning promptly to welcome your

huskies now that the cones are back up. In doing this, Mrs. Brown stands at the entrance to Husky Territory and waves to all arriv-

ing families. Any teacher that comes between 7:30AM and 7:50AM will be allowed at the special opening for TEACHERS ONLY

that Ms. Brown monitors for safety. Please know there are days that Mrs. Brown is at principal meetings and/or is tutoring sweet

first graders. Thank you for continuing to be stellar parents in following the procedures in her absence.

Again, thank you for being who you are and partnering with us on getting all parties into Husky Territory safely! Have an

amazing HUSKY DAY!

Sincerely,

Pamela Brown
