Palmetto Bluff Clay Shooting
Whether you are a novice or skilled shooter, the Palmetto Bluff Shooting Club invites you to test your skills as you make your way through its 13 sporting clay stations, an elevated and covered five-stand station, and a wobble deck field. Winding through a 40-acre forest, the course is designed to blend in with the landscape while providing a fun and challenging recreational shooting environment for everyone regardless of age, ability, or experience.

Rose Hill Plantation Tour
The historic Rose Hill Mansion, known as the most beautiful plantation house in the Lowcountry, has long held a treasured place in Southern history. Originally built in the late 1850s by planter and physician, Dr. John Kirk and his wife Caroline, it was on the National Register of Historic Places when a fire destroyed it in 1987. We will tour the first floor of the renovated private home and hear the stories about the original owners, the house’s many inhabitants, and the restoration that has taken place over the last decade. After the tour we will enjoy a taste of local treats including cheese grits and “F.R.O.G.” jam.

Dolphin Cruise to Hilton Head
Enjoy a power boat ride through the Lowcountry estuaries as you head toward Hilton Head Island. The trip provides a fantastic opportunity to view local Atlantic Bottlenose Dolphin as the captain, an experienced interpretive naturalist, guides you through many of the local waterways, including Cooper River, Bull Creek, the historic May River, and more. Once on the island, take the time to tour the Harbor Light house, shop in the harbor, and enjoy a drink at a local restaurant.

Telfair Museums
Spend the afternoon enjoying some of the most beautiful artwork from the 19th and 20th centuries as you tour the Telfair Academy – the oldest public art museum in the Southeast. A former mansion built from 1818-1819, it is now home to some of the finest paintings, sculptures, and decorative arts from Europe and America, including works by Childe Hassam, Gari Melchers, Robert Henri, and George Luks.
Following a look at the early artists, we will turn our attention to the cornerstone of the museum’s contemporary holdings – the Jepson Center. It features important works from the last 50 years including the original iconic Bird Girl statue, made famous in the Jack Leigh photograph on the cover of “Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil.”

Evergreen, as it was originally known, was designed as a traditional Victorian cemetery with curving pathways, trees, and grassy areas. Palmetto Bluff is a bicyclist paradise. This interpretive tour will take a loop route of paved bike paths and back roads, all at an easy pace on flat elevation. Your guide will lead you along the May River, while you take in the beautiful scenery and see if you spot any wildlife. The group will stop at various points including the History Center, Conservancy, Bird Island, and duck pond.

Get ready to spend a memorable day on Page Island. The adventure begins with a boat ride through the May River salt marshes to a remote kayak outpost on Page Island. After a brief paddling lesson, you will be ready to get on a kayak or paddle board and explore the nearby creeks inhabited by Native Americans hundreds of years ago. If you would prefer not to kayak or paddle board, you can hike the Island’s nature trails, relax on hammocks, or fish from the dock.

Join us for a glimpse into the history of the undeveloped side of the island and learn about the Native Americans, European settlers, the cotton trade, the Gullah people, and the locals who have chosen to make this remote island their home. Your tour includes visits to the First Union African Baptist Church, the Praise House, Mary Field’s Elementary School (the inspiration for former teacher Pat Conroy’s novel, “The Water Is Wide”), the site of the Bloody Point Lighthouse, and some artisan studios.
