ADULT CHOIR NEWS
The Adult Choir will be singing for the Liturgies of the Easter
Triduum. Members are asked to assemble one hour before services on
Thursday, Friday, and Saturday for final rehearsals. This also makes it
possible for anyone who wishes to come and sing with the choir to do
so.
TAX CREDITS WILL GO QUICKLY WITH NEW LAWS
With the changes in the new tax laws, the diocese predicts MLTF tax
credits may disappear by late spring. Spencer SH has already sold out.
SANTA LUCIA PILGRIMAGE
Fr. Michael will be leading a pilgrimage to our sister parish in Santa
Lucia, Nicaragua from July 23-Aug. 3, 2018. The cost has dropped to
$1,500 per person. Contact Fr. Michael at

ST. MARY’S SCHOOL REMINDERS
The 2018-2019 St. Mary’s School reenrollment form was due March
15. if you have not returned yours please return it promptly. If you do
not have a form please call the finance office at 712-732-3110. The
deadline for the TADS (financial scholarship) application is April 1.
Visit www.mytads.com to apply, remember ALL families need to
submit an application. If you have any questions call the finance
office.
SCRIP SCHEDULE NEWS
Scrip orders will be processed on March 26 and will only be
available March 29 for pick up from 12 -5 p.m. in the parish office.
The Parish Office will be closed on Friday and no Scrip will be sold at
Easter weekend masses. The week of April 2 orders will not be
processed until April 3.
MASS INTENTIONS If you would like to make an intention for Mass. Dates are available
please contact the parish office at 712-732-3110
THEN FEED JUST ONE
The ninth annual Then Feed Just One food packaging event will take
place on April 18. The second collections at masses on the weekend of
April 7-8 will go to support this worthy cause. A donation of just $35
can help feed 216 people for one meal. Please consider giving, and if
you would like to work a shift during the event, email Ryan Berg at
PARISH OFFICE CLOSED
The parish office will be closed on Good Friday, March 30 and Easter
Monday, April 2 to allow staff and clergy to enjoy the Easter holiday
with their loved ones.
BALL & AUCTION THANKS
Many thanks to all of our many volunteers, staff and donors that
helped us reach an estimated $186,000 net record amount for the
school (the amount is growing!) Special thanks to chairs Andy and
Lisa Hurd and co-chairs Seth and Etta Smith! The Big Raffle winners
were: $10,000—Joan Simpson; $2,000 Early Bird—Jon Foell,

PINK OUT RESULTS
Thank you to our Storm Lake St. Mary's Parish for the generous
second collection donation for our Pink Out Fundraiser. Due to your
generosity and donations from other events held on pink out night, we
were able to raise over $7,000 for BVRMC Oncology. We will be
presenting them with a check this weekend at one of their fundraising
events. It feels good to donate to a wonderful facility that benefits so
many and we truly appreciate the collaboration between the school
and the parish to accomplish this goal! - The St. Mary's Sophomore
Class Pink Out Committee
TOTUS TUUS (TOTALLY YOURS),
Is being held at St. Mary’s, July 8-13. For grade school children
(grades 1-6) the program runs Monday-Friday 9-3 p.m. For junior
and senior high school youth, the program runs Sunday-Thursday
7:30-9:30 p.m. TOTUS TUUS combines catechesis and
FUN!!! Registration is available through the parish office. Cost is
$20 per participant.

Pizza Ranch Community Impact Night on Monday, March 26

event for our St. Mary’s High School students.
DIOCESE MENS CONFERENCE
Jesse Romero is a nationally known, high-energy speaker and a
former LA County Deputy Sheriff. He shares his life experiences in
finding God at work in some of the most unexpected places. In recent
years, he has been a keynote speaker at the Des Moines Christ our
Life Conference, and he is also the keynote speaker for the April
Men's Conference Sioux City diocese. Jesse will give two
presentations at St. Mary's Church in Humboldt April 8 from 10 a.m.

SPRING GERANIUM SALE!
Parents and Teachers of Panthers (PTP) is selling geraniums in a
variety of sizes and beautiful colors. To order, complete the form
posted on www.stormlakecatholic.com and go to the school tab by
March 27. Proceeds will be put to great use toward classroom and
teacher needs. Thank you to Jones Nursery for offering the geraniums
below cost for this St. Mary’s fundraiser. Please return the form to the
school office, along with your payment, in an envelope marked “PTP
Geranium Sales.” Make checks payable to St. Mary’s School. Pick up
your flower order from Jones Nursery anytime from May 1 through
May 20.
