Obituary"Jesus said unto her, i am the resurrection, and the life: he that believes in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: and whosoever live and believe in me shall never die." John 11:25-26 MRS. JANNIE REBECCA "BECK" HAWES was born on June 29, 1947, to the Late Mr. Jacob and Mrs. Albertha O. Bellinger of Estill, South Carolina. At an early age, Rebecca accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and became a member of Ebenezer Holy Church in Estill, South Carolina. She attended and graduated from Estill Training Schools. She later moved to Stamford, Connecticut. It was there she met and married the love of her life, and was joined in Holy matrimony to Mr. John Pearl Hawes. After leaving Connecticut, she and her family moved to Augusta, Georgia. Rebecca joined Augusta Deliverance Evangelistic Church. Continuing her spiritual journey, she later became a member of Calvary Gateway International Church in Martinez, Georgia, where she served faithfully until she went home to be with the Lord. Rebecca managed the "Lion of Judah" Christian Bookstore, which she enjoyed so much. Her professional career was in the restaurant business which spanned over a period of forty years between McDonald's, Dairy Queen, and Tasty Burger. In the latter end of her career, she was a Private Care Assistant for many sick patients and worked at Brandon Wilde Senior Living Community in Martinez, Georgia. Rebecca’s love for people was demonstrated by her caring attitude, warm-pleasant smile, and her calm demeanor. She loved sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ. She loved the Lord, her family, church, apostles, and sisters and brothers in Christ. On January 24, 2019, at University Hospital in Augusta, Georgia, our Heavenly Father released one of his Angels to escort Rebecca to her "New Heavenly Home". Preceding her in death were: husband, Mr. John Pearl Hawes; and two sisters, Ms. Julia Mae Adams and Ms. Elizabeth Bellinger. She leaves to cherish her legacy: five daughters, Ms. Tracy Bellinger, Ms. Chante' Hawes, Ms. Apryl Hawes and Ms. Lorna Campbell, all of Augusta, GA and Ms. Teresa Wilson of Stamford, Stamford, CT; two sons, Mr. John Hawes, Jr., Stamford, CT and Mr. Bobby (Pam) Hawes, Augusta, GA; two devoted sisters, Mrs. Birdie (Gary) Gresham and Ms. Rachel Trapp, both of Columbia, SC; two devoted brothers, Mr. Duncan Bellinger (Free Love) and Mr. Jacob Bellinger (Jan), both of Estill, SC; aunts, Mrs. Lillie Rose (David) Walker, Hampton, SC and Mrs. Alethia (Ben) Wallace, Estill, SC and Mrs. Marjorie (Joe) Bussey, Appling, GA; cousin, Mrs. Vivian (Jerry) Gordon, Columbia, SC; uncles, Mr. Benjamin Orr (Vera), Mr. Eugene Orr (Daisy), Mr. Willie James Orr (Sarah), all of Estill, SC, Mr. Glen Orr (Deborah), Aiken, SC and Mr. Robert Austin, Newark, NJ; devoted friend, Apostle Darlene Williams, Augusta, GA; fourteen grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; family pet, Orio (Mr. Chocolate); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Seasons of the Heart - By grace e. easley -

the hour has many seasons,

Just as this good old earth,

and they all combine together,

to comprise what we are worth.

there is a childhood innocence,

in which we dream and play,

there is a time for growing up,

and making our own way.

there is a time for keeping,

and a time for letting go,

a time for moving swiftly,

and time for walking slow.

there is a time for learning,

and a time for teaching, too,

and there is time for resting,

when all the chores are through.

we all know Joy and sorrow,

‘tis written in the plan,

but heaven waits beyond life’s gates,

for every earnest man.

each life has many pictures,

and all work of art,

but what a silver symphony . . .

the season of the heart.
