Palazzo Arzaga Hotel Spa & Golf ResortEmotional golf on Lake Garda

The best golf destination in Italy with over 10 golf courses easily reachable from Palazzo Arzaga

At Palazzo Arzaga, you will find the best solution for your golf holiday. You will enjoy the first golf and spa resort in Italy with two golf courses on-site, designed by Jack Nicklaus II and Gary Player, a few minutes from Lake Garda and 30 minutes from Verona, the Franciacorta Wine Region and the Alps.

The two breathtaking courses of Palazzo Arzaga Hotel Spa & Golf Resort virtually adjoin the design course of Gardagolf (a few minutes away) and give life to a single collection of greens, for everybody to enjoy their passion for golf.

Stay at Palazzo Arzaga Hotel Spa & Golf Resort and you can play 54 holes at Arzaga Golf and Gardagolf, the golf courses of excellence on Lake Garda.

The hotel features 84 hotel rooms and suites; most rooms have view over the golf courses or the surrounding countryside. The collection of Fresco Rooms and Suites preserve the original frescoes of the 15th century and enjoy stunning views of the Arzaga golf courses.

Before and after a round of golf, the recently-restyled Arzaga Spa is a wonderful place to be: pure relaxation and pleasure for the five senses. The Arzaga’s well-being experts will drive the guests along the most suitable path to achieve their balance: the Path of Clouds (includes: low temperature sauna with essential oils, Finnish sauna, steam bath, emotional showers and the cloud room, relaxing area tasting herbal or flower tea); the Path of Country; the Path of Flame (the one and only exclusive Spa Suite in Italy with whirlpool bath, sauna, steam bath, emotional shower); the Path of Water.

More facilities include: outdoor pool, fitness centre, tennis courts and jogging track; main meeting room with up to 180 seats; and up to six break-out rooms located on the ground floor of the Palazzo – all immersed in the 365 acres of natural reserve surrounding the resort.

Il Moretto is the hotel’s gourmet restaurant, serving fine Italian cuisine accompanied by fine wines from the local vineyards of Franciacorta and Valpolicella. During summer, dinner is served on the terrace overlooking the 18th hole of the Jack Nicklaus II course, while the Clubhouse Grill restaurant meets golfers’ needs for lunch or a quick morning or afternoon bite with refreshing drinks.

The mild, Mediterranean climate of Lake Garda allows golf to be played almost all year round. The golf courses designed by Jack Nicklaus II (the championship course) and Gary Player (the nine-hole inland links) are able to satisfy the needs of beginners as well as keen golfers.

Located a few minutes’ drive from Palazzo Arzaga is Gardagolf. Experts consider Gardagolf one of the best golf courses built over the past 10 years; it has hosted the PGA European Tour’s Italian Open twice. The golf course stretches over an area of 110 hectares (over 270 acres) and was designed by British golf architects. The Gardagolf Country Club course is a 27-hole golf course which spreads between the Rocca di Manerba promontory, the Castle of Soiano and the Valtenesi hills, and offers a breathtakingly-beautiful panorama.

Arzaga Golf Courses

Jack Nicklaus II course18 holes, par 72 designed by Jack Nicklaus II.

A course of obstacles to avoid in order to keep your ball in play, set among ponds and deep grassy bunkers, and through trees. And with wide fairways so you can play your best strokes, before reaching the 18th hole, the signature hole for the course.

This was the way Nicklaus liked to play. How about you?

Gary Player course9 holes, par 36 designed by Gary Player.

Texture: higher-levelled greens and deep bunkers, as in Scotland, with heathland, like in England. To play the course, you need to follow well-devised strategies.

Trajectories: the pinnacle of Bedizzole’s church, a point of reference for the 3rd hole; the imposing line of the Drugolo’s Castle for the tee shot on the 1st hole, considered to be one of the most spectacular holes in Europe.

It is a course for everybody – from those who have just started to those who are never satisfied…
