Chivas Brothers is the Scotch whisky and premium gin business of Pernod Ricard.

The company bottles whisky brands such as Chivas Regal and The Glenlivet on site, following years of ageing in maturation warehouses located throughout Scotland.

Chivas Brothers required a range of handling solutions in its dry and finished goods warehouses at its bottling operation in Paisley, near Glasgow.

equipMent suMMaryIn Paisley, Hyster materials handling equipment is required in the dry goods warehouse where up to 35 lorries are unloaded each day and the goods stored, picked and then fed into the bottling hall. Trucks are also used in the finished goods warehouse. The fleet includes:

To aid the handling of loads on slip sheets, Hyster has provided push-pull attachments for the Hyster H2.5FT Fortens Advance+ LPG forklift trucks

To minimise the risk of explosion in potentially hazardous atmospheres, Pyroban protected explosion proof trucks have been provided for operation in the drain, fill and vatting operations and maturation warehouses.
