The AMIVTAC (Mexican Routes Association) is pleased to extend this invitation to its:

the city of Campeche, at its Convention Center, will receive us in to celebrate the V Bridges International Seminar with the subject: “Preservation, Rehabilitation and Sustainable Technologies on Bridges”

Prominent international and national experts will discuss the bridges preservation and rehabilitation, the use of sustainable technologies on engineering and the construction of bridges. With the participation of companies from the above-mentioned eld, we will hold the Bridges Commercial Exhibition Show 2018.

Goal:

Environmental and budget constraints on road infrastructure, in almost every country in the world, require a much more rational use of public and private resources destined to maintenance and rehabilitation of existing structures. The use of innovative materials and technologies allowed to extend the life of many bridges way beyond of what was planned. The above, together with the improvement of design methods, structural evaluation and the knowledge of the degradation mechanisms of the materials, has contributed to secure the functioning and performance of existing structures. Likewise, in recent years, new materials and methods have been developed in order to minimize the damage to the environment produced by new constructions.

The V Bridges International Seminar AMIVTAC – PIARC on Bridges Conservation, Rehabilitation and Sustainable Technologies has a triple objective. First, promote sharing of knowledge and experience generated in the last years, both at a national and international level, related to the design, construction, conservation and rehabilitation of bridges. Second, offer a space for debate to all assistants to the seminar and to all the national and international experts, with special attention in the new technological developments related to the conservation of the environment in the engineering of bridges. Third, contribute to the improvement in the engineering of bridges.

The Nuevo Puente La Unidad (New Bridge The Unit) will have a length of 3285 meters (2.04 miles) and it's located

at the entrance of the Laguna de Términos in the state of Campeche. This bridge, consist of 72 clears of 45 meters

each, will allow the union between Isla del Carmen and Isla Aguada.
