This funding would be used for maintenance dredging of various channels in SanFrancisco Bay, including a 55 foot depth for the San Francisco Bar Channel, to provide safenavigation for all vessel traffic in and out of the Bay. Included within this request are funds tocontinue and finalize economic, engineering and environmental studies necessary for federal costsharing in placing dredged sediments along the eroded shores of Ocean Beach to protect criticalmunicipal infrastructure, including a storm water treatment tunnel and ocean sewage outfall.
