These are just a few of the common misconceptions the professors at the Ger- man table corrected at Cultural Day last Friday at the foreign language building. “There are a lot of myths people have about Germans that just aren’t true,” said Patricia Schempp, a graduate part-time instructor in the German department. “Germans are not Nazis anymore, and sure, Ger- mans drink beer, but they’re by no means drunk all the time.” After nearly a full week of paranoia, Austin Fielding said it was almost a relief to become a zombie. “I didn’t succeed, but comparatively, no one succeeded,” the junior mechani- cal engineering major from Austin said. Fielding was turned zombie during Thursday night’s mission of the Texas Tech game of Humans vs. Zombies. The campus wide tag-style game ended Sat- urday morning with a final showdown in Urbanovsky Park, which “killed” all humans.
