All employees should have received their open enrollment benefits information in the mail. Information also is available on Inflow . This is the one time during the year you can make changes to the following benefits: z Medical insurance z Dental insurance z Vision care z Life insurance z Accidental death and dismemberment z Short-term disability z Flexible spending — Using pre-tax dollars for health and dependent care — you must re-elect this every year. Important reminders: z If you do not select any new benefit elections, your coverage will remain the same. z Enrollment in Flexible Spending Accounts (Health Care FSA or Dependent Child Care FSA) requires new election each year. z You can save $10/month on health insurance by taking the Cigna health assessment and entering your biometric screening number. Details available on Inflow . z Contact the Employee Health Clinic at ext. 6868 if you need to schedule a biometric screening. z You must provide your Social Security numbers for all dependents covered on Denver Water’s Cigna medical plan. z You will be able to complete your enrollment from home by visiting www.denverwater.org and scrolling to the bottom of the screen where yo find a link to Employee Self - Service . z If you have questions contact Human Resources at ext. 6300 or [email protected] . Harvest Festival this week Human Resources and the Wellness committee invite all employees to the 2014 Harvest Festival. The event is a chance to meet with all benefit providers and Denver Water employee groups. Many vendors offer free gifts to attendees. This also is a chance to ask questions about open enroll and the health assessment discount. The event runs from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 30 in the Administration Building atrium with food fun for everyone. Click here to see a full list of organizations and groups who will be on site. Broncos tickets giveaway during Harvest Festival This year’s Harvest Festival is not only a great chance to learn about wellness programs at Denver Water; it’s also a way to increase your odds of winning free Broncos tickets. All employees will be entered in a random drawing to win two free tickets to the Broncos vs. Raiders game on Dec. 28 Sports Authority Field at Mile High. Employees who attend the Harvest Festival will receive an additional entry in the drawing. The Wellness commi also will give away two Fit Bit wristbands during the festival. Google Chrome install tonight IT has received many Help Desk requests from employees indicating they are unable to use certain internet sites because of a browser incompatib Because of this, IT will install Google Chrome to all desktops tonight, Oct. 28. In general, Chrome should be used for accessing external websites while Internet Explorer 8 continues as our standard for accessing internal Denv Water applications. Many of Denver Water’s vendor supplied applications do not work with any other browser except for Internet Explorer 8, which why Denver Water has been unable to upgrade to the latest version of Internet Explorer. IT continues to work with these vendors on application upgrades. Call the Help Desk at ext. 6272 if you have any questions. Halloween costume contest The 2014 DWEA Halloween costume contest is set for Thursday, Oct. 30 (during the Harvest Festival) in the Administration Building atrium. All participants must have their pictures taken from 8:30 – 9:30 a.m. Contact Stuart Wenkheimer at ext. 6202 to have your picture taken after 9:30 a.m. Off-site employees can send photos to Pat Willia Prizes will be given to the top three groups or individual. The event is a chance to meet with all benefit providers and Denver Water employee groups. Many vendors offer free gifts to attendees.
