Timing of Accounting Information
Timing of Accounting Information should be taken into account when creating or interpreting reports. Data which comes from Accounting systems to the NFS DW through PTA will be 2 days old when displayed in the Reports.
Example:Day 1: Accounting commitment and expenditures are loaded into PTA on a nightly basis.
Day 2: Accounting commitment and expenditures are then loaded from PTA to the NFS Data Warehouse.
The timing of the nightly loads should be taken into consideration when creating and reviewing reports. The NFS DW team will be working on incorporating data directly from the accounting systems in future phases.

Current Values and Month End Close Filters
1. Since the NFS Data Warehouse retains historical values, while creating ad-hoc reports please add “Current Value” Filter to the Query Filter Pane when using Objects from the following classes:
Project Cost Sheet Values Project Revisions Values Contract Values Invoices Values Schedule Values Acct Expenditures Values Account Commits Values See page 8 for the “Current Value” Filter
2. The “MEC” filter has been created for easy Month-End-Close reporting. This will only apply to Project Cost sheet and Contracts Classes. See page 9 for “MEC” Filter

PTA Awareness Items
These items only impact only PTA.1. The “Current Budget Authorized to Spend” shows authorized dollars,
but these dollars have not been approved to spend for QI projects (Place holder projects).
2. The PTA NFT report shows the rollup project target budget whereas the DW NFT report shows the project target budget. As a result the forecast variance (target budget – current forecast) will differ.
3. The PTA CQE report will show a 0 amount for original budget, when in fact there is an actual amount in the project. The DW CQE report shows the actual amount as expected.
4. The PTA CME report will show some service areas as REG. The DW CME report will show the correct service area name.
5. In PTA’s NFT report, projects that are Cancelled or Final Closeout phase and the expenditure and target budget are $0, the project is omitted from the report. The DW NFT report will include these projects.
6. Vendor Evaluations created prior to May 2, 2011 are not available in the DW. Prior to this date, evaluation data was not required in PTA.
