Political from DG-REGIO : (2003)instrument for economic and regional development aimed to support job creation and social cohesion
Environmental from DG-ENV : (2005)green transport corridor, with low-CO2 emissions , using bio-combustibles and with sustainable design.

European Commission is asking to
both European Parliament and
European Council a Budget of €
21.700 Millions to deploy the TEN-T
2014-2020 infrastructures, with tne
name of “Connecting Facility Europe”
Besides an additional budget of €
10,000 millions from Cohesion Fund,
to coordinate common interest
projects.
The Member States would establish
national funds with a combined budget
around € 80,000 millions in the same
period
The EIB –European Investment Bank
will probably renew LGTT for € 1,000
millions and other financing tools for
PPP projects supporting TEN-T
