The area links the heart of Sydney the area most people identify as the city - to the suburbs of the inner west.

The area has a strong inner city look - narrow tree lined streets, Victorian and Federation cottages, thrivingstrip shopping centres along main streets, distinctive neighbourhoods and local villages. Increasingnumbers of people are attracted to the area because of its convenience and inner city character, its vibrantstreet culture, multicultural influences, eating and shopping experiences, and its friendly community feel.
