Large Bust

Look after large busts with hidden

support. Good quality support will not

only lift and shape ample busts but also prevent embarrassing escapees in the surf.

PetiteBoy-leg swimsuits are the perfect mix of sexy and cute and you have the

perfect body shape to wear them. Along with cut-outs, boy-leg

styles flatter tiny frames, accentuating sleek thighs and flat

stomachs.

FuLL Figure

Consider well-cut one-piece suits.

Also use features like ruching detail

and wrap front necklines to draw attention to your best attributes.

Pear sHaPe

Draw the focus up with swimsuits that

focus on the top half of your body. Try tops with

prints, fills and embellishments

and consider pairing them with a pant in

a darker shade. Also try skirted pants.

Big BeLLy

Look for tummy control lining to

flatten and shape stomachs. Also, draw attention to your neckline with built-in bras, deep Vs and plunging

Finally, an item that combines style and practicality. super-sized and super-handy bags will never go

out oF Fashion.

BAGStote-AllyAweSome

Remember the famous scene when the children first meet their new nanny – and her bag? Mary Poppins pulls out a hat stand, a mirror, a pot plant... The children are amazed at what her magic bag can hold. Julie Andrews was performing a great metaphor for the advantages of one of woman’s greatest and most useful accessories – the mighty tote. While the average woman may not need to lug around a hat stand, let’s face it, they still need “things”. Whether it’s study books, beach towels, baby needs or loads of on-the-go essentials, the ability of tote bags is to carry it and carry it in style. This means they’ll never go out of fashion and will grace the shelves of stores all year-round.So how do you know which tote is right for you? Tote bags come in all shapes and colours. In fact, the only thing they have in common is their size and practicality so choose one that suits your personality and wardrobe. This season’s all about colour – the more the better. Choose a tote in your favourite shade and don’t be afraid to wear it with lots of other colours. Or if that’s not your style, a tote with an interesting print – think croc or snakeskin – will instantly glam up any outfit. And of course, you can’t go wrong with a neutral tote that will last you throughout the seasons. So grab your things and load up one of these totes for a handy and stylish bag this spring.

It’s all about lookIng natural, sun-kIssed and glowIng thIs summer. here’s how

to get the barely-there look.

Mandi Davidson from Pure Indulgence says, “Less is more when it comes to creating a fresh, sun-kissed look. Start by using a foundation or tinted moisturiser that gives a flawless finish, but still allows natural skin to show through. Don’t forget to include your neck, upper chest and perhaps shoulders in your application touches to ensure a visual flow of colouration.”

Danielle Vicente from Beauty Fixxation Hair & Beauty Bar recommends applying loose powder with a kabuki brush. “Apply it in

circular motions and add more for great coverage.” To continue the natural look, replace blush with a bronzer. “Bronzer on the cheeks gives definition to cheek bones. I apply it with a large powder brush.”

Mandi adds, “Start with the apples of the cheeks and sweep out along the bone towards your temple, circle lightly at your outer jaw, brush across your forehead and down the bridge of the nose, between the middle and tip. This will highlight the areas the sun shines on naturally.”

When it comes to eyes, Danielle recommends applying loose gold dust over the entire eyelid, bronze loose dust through the socket area and white gold under the brow for, “a shimmery lift”. Charlotte Tilbury, M.A.C Cosmetics artist says of the pictured model, “there is liner around the top and bottom lashes, but it is very, very blended – there are no lines in this makeup.”

For lips, Danielle recommends using a neutral lip liner and lipstick with a lipgloss over the top for added shine.

BeauTy Tips and finds To have you primed and primped This summer.

back to basedon’t know which foundation to use? The type of base you apply to your skin can have a big effect on the way you look and on the way your skin feels. for lazy weekends, consider mixing your foundation with moisturiser. it will soften the colour and give you a dewy finish leaving skin looking younger and glowing. for a perfect night time base, look for a foundation with a matte finish. it will give you a striking, flawless look that’s bound to make an impression. if it’s foundation for the office you’re looking for it’s worth investing in a mineral base. natural minerals prevent blocked pores and avoids the blemishes that ultimately follow. speak to your beauty therapist about which shade will perfectly match your skin colour.

Powder PerFectpowder eyeshadows are a sturdy, versatile product essential to every makeup bag. you can apply it with precision using a makeup brush or liberally with the smudge of a finger. But how do you make it last all day? The trick is not to moisturise before applying. powder needs to stick to the skin, so make sure you have clean, dry lids before applying. also consider using a translucent powder over the top for staying power. But don’t throw your eye cream out just yet. always apply it before bed to replenish and moisturise eyes overnight.

fromMYERthe wordKey fashion trends, exclusive

brands and why Pacific fair has the biggest and best Myer on

the gold coast.

there will soon be a new kid on the block, but Pacific fair Myer will still be the largest Myer on the coast, offering four levels of the latest fashion, cosmetics, homewares, kitchenware and electrical goods, plus exclusive brands you won’t find at any other Myer store on the gold coast. we spent five minutes with Myer store Manager george Moutsos to find out the latest exciting buys in-store.

What are Myer’s key fashion looks this season? there are three distinct trends this season at Myer. the first is new nautical which is a blend of traditional nautical shapes and colours with the 1950’s cottage garden influences. the look features a mix of spots and classic stripes complemented by a strong colour palette of navy, white and red. hi there by Karen walker is a brand that really embraces this trend this season. the second is cosmetic bloom, this is definitely a feminine and flirty look which features ruffles, silk, satin and lace. the final trend is Modern Military, which has a strong colour palette of desert storm neutrals, khakis and shades of green, with shades of red and gold, in essence it’s a blend of military meets safari.

Which fashion brands are exclusive to Myer Pacific Fair? Myer Pacific fair has a great selection of designer and womenswear brands that are exclusive to our store. these include popular australian designers; nicola finetti, wayne cooper, arabella ramsey, Jayson brunsdon and charlie brown to name a few. Myer Pacific fair is also proud to house iconic australian fashion brands such as sportscraft and review.

What’s this season’s hottest fashion buy? in women’s accessories the “trilby hat” is a must-have item that will take you from beach to bar in effortless style. Printed scarves will also be a key item, having featured prominently on overseas catwalks.

What’s happening in the coming months? we regularly host events and have fantastic storewide competitions throughout the year. for further information on what’s on at Myer Pacific fair, customers can go to www.myer.com.au

Tea towels are the lurking bacteria factories of the kitchen, constantly transferring nasties from hands to plates and back again. Help fend off nasty tummy bugs with these tips:

Clean: Wash tea towels regularly and dry thoroughly, preferably in the sun.Delegate: Designate different tea towels to different jobs like dish drying, hand drying or for handling hot food.Renew: Replace tea towels regularly. If you change them every season not only will they be cleaner but you’ll also get the latest looks!

TIP: Stick to single colours on the table for an intimate dinner for two but go all out

with colours on party nights.

It’s tIme to InvIte frIends over and head outdoors. But where do you start when It comes to summer entertaInIng?

what comes to mind when you think of summer? sand? sunscreen? Bikinis? Pineapple? Prawns? sarsaparilla? Queensland summers are made for entertaining, but so many of us are stuck in the snags-on-the-barbie-with-a-green-salad rut.

Philip Johnson, Queensland chef and author of Eating In: Food to Share From the E’cco Kitchen writes, “Lay strips of prosciutto over slices of melon or slivers of piquant blue cheese and chunks of juicy nectarine to get you started.” his book is full of new exciting dishes as well as proposed menus for entertaining and tips on how to do it properly.

Philip recommends venturing a little further than the back deck this summer, which makes sense with our sun-kissed climate. why not head to the park, the beach or even rediscover the grassy patch just a little further down the backyard? throw a rug under a tree, grab an ice-bucket complete with sparkling rosé, and enjoy lunch in the breeze.

Philip writes, “as the days start to grow longer, the nights become warmer and the markets fill with spring greens and tender lamb. get inspired to mark the end of winter with a late lunch and make the most of the sun’s warmth, eating outdoors with friends as the afternoon turns to evening.”

Philip notes the importance of selecting produce that’s in season. at the moment, you’ll find hr Petty farm fresh fruit & veg brimming with fresh spring and summer produce, ready to form the basis of your meal. Be sure to pick recipes that make the most of in-season produce like melons and rhubarb and always use fresh, crispy bread from a local baker such as goldstein’s Bakery.
