Race Details: The Pacer for Pets 5K is a 3.1-mile road race that includes a few hills. The race begins and ends near the Lancaster County Central Park Office, 1050 Rockford Rd. Ample parking will be available. Prizes: Prizes will be awarded to the overall top three male and female finishers as well as the top three male and female finishers in each age category. Registration Fees: $20 if received by March 31, 2016. All pre- registrants will receive a t-shirt. Participating pets will also receive a bandana. $25 after March 31, 2016 or on race day. T- shirts and bandanas will be given while supplies last. Register online at lancasterspca.org! Race day check-in and registration begins at 8:30 a.m. The race starts at 10 a.m. This event will take place rain or shine. Registrations are considered donations and will not be refunded. Founded in 2013 to address the county’s pet overpopulation problem, LCSPCA is an open-admission shelter that never turns away an animal. In 2015, LCSPCA received 5,840 animals. In addition to sheltering and providing medical care for homeless pets, LCSPCA also investigates animal abuse, operates a trap, neuter & release program for cats, and offers humane education programs.
