The PAC 500 Access and Alarm Server is an intelligent controller for advanced access control applications. It provides sophisticated access and alarmmanagement for businesses with single or multiple locations across the country and around the world. This proven solution supports countless numbers ofaccess decisions, meshs multiple locations seamlessly, centralizes management and provides industry-standard secure networking.

The PAC 500 coordinates a wide variety of alarm, monitoring devices, elevators and managing global input/output event linkage, with two separate RS-485 communication channels. It is capable of hosting and managing up to 48 local devices which can be connected for the control of access, monitoringinput devices or controlling output devices.

Embedded Microsoft Windows CE.Net and a powerful Intel Xscale processor combine to ensure secure and high speed access to 75,000 users. Utilizing Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) Communications and a built-in firewall ensures that each PAC 500, on the network, carries thesame level of security as traditional IT networking equipment inside or outside the corporate data center.

System downtime is costly, particularly in a highly secure environment. The PAC 500 overcomes this potential risk through the use of itsdistributed intelligence. Even if the LAN connection and RS-485 multidrop lines are severed, the security at your facility can still bemaintained allowing nearly all local functionality to continue until the server connection is restored.
