He completed 22 of 31 passes for 275 yards and five touchdowns in addition to rushing for 66 yards on 13 carries for two additional touchdowns. It marked the third time Kelly has thrown for five touchdowns in a game in his career and the second time he’s done it this season. AROUND THE PAC-12GAME THEMES: A midweek showdown between North Division rivals OREGON and STANFORD kicks off the action with a primetime ESPN telecast Thursday night at 6 p.m. PT. Oregon, which has won 17-straight Conference road games, looks to avenge last season’s lone loss behind its explosive offense - 632.1 yards total offense (331.5 rush/300.6 pass) and 55.6 points per game. Stanford attempts to keep pace in the North Division race and will count on a stout defense to keep the Duck offense in check. The Cardinal are 10th in the FBS in stopping the run, allowing 103.3 yards rushing per game. . . CALIFORNIA is coming off one of its better performances this season. Freshman QB Jared Goff (320.1 passing yards per game) will face one of his toughest challenges on the year against a USC defense that’s 12th in the FBS in allowing 323.6 yards per game and is 9th in sacks, averaging 3.22 per game. . . ARIZONA STATE will look to continue to control its own destiny in the South Division race. The Sun Devil offense is clicking behind junior QB Taylor Kelly, who has led ASU to better than 500 yards of total offense in three straight games. Averaging 46.6 points per game isn’t too shabby either. Expect UTAH co-offensive coordinator, and former ASU head coach, Dennis Erickson to have a few tricks up his sleeve in leading the Utes into the end zone. . . WASHINGTON seeks one more victory to become bowl eligible as it entertains COLORADO. The Buffs defense will be put to test in stopping Husky TB Bishop Sankey, who is third in the nation in rushing (145.2 ypg). . . It’s homecoming weekend in Tucson as ARIZONA and UCLA battle to keep pace in the South Division race. The Bruins will look to multi-talented sophomore QB Brett Hundley to spoil the weekend festivities in Tucson (Hundley’s father letter as a running back for Arizona in 1986). Meanwhile, the Wildcats will lean on junior RB Ka’Deem Carey, the leading rusher in the FBS (153.1 ypg), as they begin the toughest portion of their schedule with three of their next four opponents ranked among the Top 25.

BCS TOP FIVE MATCHUP: When No. 3 OREGON visits No. 5 STANFORD Thursday, it will be the second ever matchup between two Pac-12 teams ranked among the BCS top-five. The only other time it occurred was on Nov. 3, 2007 in Eugene, Ore., when No. 5 Oregon defeated No. 4 ARIZONA STATE, 35-23.

IN THE AP POLL: Among AP ranked Pac-12 teams, Thursday’s showdown in Stanford between AP No. 2 OREGON and AP No. 6 STANFORD, it marks the 30th matchup of Top 10 Pac-12 teams. See page 8 of this release for a list of the other 29 games between Top 10 Pac-12 teams (AP poll).

He has 14 100-yard receiving games in his career, 3 shy of the USC record. . . . Over the last three games, the USC defense has allowed just 10.3 points per game and an average of 290 yards total offense per game. USC is 13th in the FBS in scoring defense (18.7 ppg) and 12th in total defense (323.6 ypg).

CALIFORNIA: In the loss to Arizona, Cal set the school record for most pass completions and attempts in a season, now with 286 completions and 482 attempts. For the fourth straight game, fresh-man CB Cameron Walker had a personal best with 13 tackles vs. Arizona. Of his 53 total tackles, 40 have come in the last four games.

LAST MEETING (9/22/12): Behind a defense that posted 9 sacks, including 3.5 by DE Morgan Breslin, and an offense led by 100-yard rushing outings from TBs Silas Redd (158 yds) and Curtis McNeal (115 yds) along with a pair of TD throws from QB Matt Barkley to WR Marqise Lee, No. 13 USC defeated California, 27-9, in Los Angeles.

Andrew Walter holds the school career mark for five or more TD passes in a game with four. . . ASU has posted 500 yards or more of total offense in three straight games and five this season. . . The Sun Devil defense has stepped up to stop the run. Over the last three games, ASU has held each opponent to under 100 yards rushing, allowing an average of 36.0 yards rushing per game in that stretch.

UTAH: Utah’s all-time record coming off regular season byes is 94-39-6. Kyle Whittingham is 6-3 after regular-season byes and 0-1 this year with a loss to UCLA on Oct. 3. . . This week’s game against No. 23 ASU marks the seventh time in school history that the Utes have faced three ranked teams in the As-sociated Press poll in a season. Utah is 1-1 against ranked teams this season, losing to No. 12 UCLA and beating No. 5 Stanford. Plus, they’ll get another ranked opponent in Oregon next week. . . His last time out, he rushed for a career-best 241 yards vs. California. Sankey, one of only four Huskies to surpass 1,000 yards in more than one season, also ranks No. 4 in the nation in rushing touchdowns, with 12. Sankey’s 2,788 career rush yards are good for 6th in UW history. . . PAC-12 FOOTBALL WEEKLY RELEASE // November 4, 2013 7

PAC-12 BOWL ARRANGEMENTS - 2013-14

The Pac-12 is in the final year of a four-year bowl cycle. The Pac-12 Conference has agreements with seven bowl partners. The lineup is led by the Rose Bowl presented by Vizio, which is the destination for the Pac-12 champion, unless said champion is ranked No. 1 or No. 2 in the final Bowl Championship Series rankings. If that were the case, the Pac-12 champion would play in the BCS National Championship Game hosted by the Discover Orange Bowl. Regardless of the disposition of the Pac-12 champion, a second Pac-12 team may be selected for an at-large berth in the Bowl Championship Series in any given year and other Pac-12 bowl partner arrangements provide for that occurrence. In addition to the Rose Bowl presented by Vizio, Pac-12 bowl partners include, in order of selection, the Valero Alamo Bowl in San Antonio, Bridgeport Education Holiday Bowl in San Diego, Hyundai Sun Bowl in El Paso, the Las Vegas Bowl, the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl in San Francisco, and the Gildan New Mexico Bowl in Albuquerque. Following is a summary of the Pac-12 bowl arrangements for the 2013-14 season:
