WhyPhilippines?ThePhilippinesisthe69thpoorestcountryintheworld.Between41-60%liveonlessthan$2/day.Thereareseveralareaswithextremepoverty.Thepoortypicallyhavefamiliesofsixormoremembers,withgreaternumbersofyoungerandolderdependents.Theheadofhouseholdoftenonlyhasanelementaryeducationorless.Thefamiliesoftenhavenoassetsandminimalaccesstoelectricity,cleanwatersources,healthandeducationservices.Theyareoftenthemostvulnerabletofinancialshocksandnaturaldisasters.

OurResponseWewillpartnerwiththelocalbodyofChristtorebuildandrestorelivesinareasthathavebeenaffectedbydisasterandpoverty.WewillbepartneringwithRandyandHannaDolhanyk,membersofTFHandtheirministryHopeisaGift.TheirmissionistoprovideHOPEanddignitytoallpeopleinneedthroughcleanwaterprojects,sustainablefood,andendingpoverty.Whilethere,wewillbepartofoutreachesandevangelizingatvillagechurches,jails,andcommunities.WewilldograffitiabatementandAdopt-a-Block,reachingfamiliesinneed.
