Flood delineation provides a comprehensive assessment of the flood event, covering both inland and coastal events type.
Inland floods can result from a disruption to natural or man-made dams, catastrophic melting of ice and snow, rain, river ice jams and/or excessive runoff.
Coastal floods are caused by extreme sea levels, which arise as combination of factors: waves, astronomical tides, storm surges, and relative mean sea level: the additional influence of river discharge may also be important in some estuaries.
This product can be used in the recovery phase of the disaster management cycle.

It is based on existing post-event imagery and relies also on secondary information sources including social media analytics, existing public information, or similar.
Objects of interest are recorded as point or polygon features including information on the event type, date and damage grade. It has two variants based on analysis scale:

City growth analysis provides a temporal analysis that describes the growth of urban areas (including areas of housing, commercial development, and roads) over its surrounding lands.
Urban sprawl plays an important role in city profiling and emergency aspects, including preparedness and response.
Also, urban sprawl is considered as a contributor to climate change, with environmental consequences from land to water and air.
This product defines the transitional classes between artificial surfaces and other classes (agriculture, forest and semi-natural areas, wetlands and water).
Within a single activation more than one product is allowed to cover longer periods of analysis.

Human footprint evaluation of cities product provides a perspective on population’s night activity; it is produced using information from satellites that operate during night-time (e.g. Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite, VIIRS). The result is corrected for differences in light conditions between the different points in time, lunar effects, clouds, external light sources (e.g. oil and gas wells). Population data and human settlements information are added to derive the human footprint of cities before, during and after a crisis. This product can also reflect the socioeconomic development, the city re-functionality after a crisis and the inequality of regional development.
