CANDIDATES I am honored to be one of four amazing candidates nominated to represent my fellow Realtors. All 400+ of you are what make up the Ozark Gateway Associ-

ation and your individual input and concerns are important. As a director, I aim to not only represent the best interest of the board but to always represent

you as colleagues in Real Estate. Over the past 10 years, I have had the privilege of working with a good many of you. I know I came to Joplin as the not so beloved discount brokerage. But through the years, I hope you have come to see that I am honest, I treat you all with respect, and I truly love the Real Estate Profession. It has been

my privilege to serve as WCR Secretary and VP, MR State Director, as well as chairman on the Technology, Green, MLS, Financing and numerous other local

OGAR committees, that I won’t force you to read through.

I am also very thankful for being chosen to attend the 2015 Leadership Academy, which has prepared me to take on an even more active role as a Realtor at

the local and state level.

You will not regret your vote for me as a director. Given the opportunity, I strive to make sure our board continues moving forward in the right direction for

both Realtors and the public.

I am the managing broker of the new Crye-Leike, Realtors branch in Joplin. My wife Jessica, and I moved to Joplin from Hattiesburg, MS, and

have lived in the area since 2004. In the spring of 2005, we began investing in the local housing market, and my love for the real estate busi-

ness was born. I have been fortunate to have served on the Technology Committee for the past two years and am the current Vice Chair of

the Finance Committee. My wife and I have five beautiful children. I enjoy playing guitar, leading worship at Christ’s Church of Oronogo,

cycling, and spending time with my family. I would be honored to continue serving the association as a director for 2016.

The Annual Election is September 17, 2015. You may cast your ballot one of three ways. > In person from 11:30 to 1:00pm at the all member meeting. > Electronically with the links provided. (see below) > Absentee Ballot. (see below) Additional qualified candiates* for the office to be filled may be placed in nomination by a petitiion singed by at least twenty percent of the REALTOR members eligible to vote. The petition shall be filed with the association at least two weeks before the election. The association s! hall send notice of such additional nominations to all members eligible to vote before the election.

*Qualified candiates for Director shall have served on at least one committee of OGAR and /or MR two of the past five years. Qualified candidates for Officer shall have been a member of the Board of Directors two of the past three years to be eligible for election.

Meeting was called to order by Dave McGarrah, President. Motion was made to approve the minutes from the July BOD meeting. Motion was made to approve Agenda as emailed. Greg Sheldon and Rachel LeClaire gave a one hour presentation on the options our board has in purchasing and/or leasing new Bluetooth lockboxes. Melissa Annis gave a 20 minute presentation on a Local Leadership Academy opportunity for local associations, based on similarities of the state pro gram. John Yaple, Officer/Treasurer

Received financials for July 2015 as emailed. Motion made and approved to accept financials for July 2015. Motion made to approve spending $499 for an upgrade to OGAR’s Quickbooks program, to be compatible with Windows 10.

Motion made to accept recommendation to add to “Outbuildings”, the choice of “Additional Living Quarters”. Recommendation approved to send to Gov Docs the request to update the MLS Rules regarding Short Sales; changing where it says that

Strategic Planning – No meeting this month. Finished for the year. Program & Events –Reviewed minutes from yesterday’s meeting; Working on Sept All Member Lunch & Nov Installation Banquet. Governing Documents – Reviewed minutes. All recommendations/motions as listed below were approved and seconded:a. Motion made to

change Policy and/or MLS Rules to add new requirement: OGAR Affiliates that are approved keycard holders (ie; Pest Control and Home Inspectors) will be required upon applying for membership to provide a valid business license, a certificate of insurance for $500k insurance coverage naming OGAR as an additional insured, and a copy of the driver’s license for each individual who will have a keycard within the approved affiliate company.

b. Motion made to add the following rules to our MLS Rules and Regs: After listing(s) have/has updated status to “Closed” in MLS system, agent signs that are not marked ”SOLD” must be removed from that property within 15 days. BOD will be notified of any and all repeat offenders.
