Zhangbei is located in northwest China within a region known as Inner Mongolia. This historical area, which was visited frequently by the Imperial family of China, has long been enjoyed as a popular resort area providing a retreat from the summer heat of northern China. The owners of the property are creating a lake-front resort property that combines a full-service business center and training facility with outdoor amenities such as skiing, boating, hiking, fishing and an equestrian facility. The resulting plan, which proposes the addition of a skier base village, 18-hole golf course, health and beauty spa, outdoor pool and gardens, a waterfront pier and a family arts village, envisions a unique resort environment that embraces the local art and heritage of the region.

Lake Muhazi Hilltop Golf Resort is a high-end complex that provides a broad range of activities—ranging from swimming, tennis to golfing—in a landscape park setting. The golf course wraps around the entire complex with a forested park and trail system winding around it. Landscape swells and berms connect the golf course and open space and provides areas for water cleansing before entering the lake. Lodging units are clustered in an intimate setting in contrast to the grand lodge which has direct access to the swimming pools and plazas.

Rebero is the highest hilltop south of Kigali with exquisite views in all directions, including the existing city. This site of 76 HA was identified as an ideal location for a conference and retreat center. The north promontory is dedicated to high end hotel development adjacent to a conference center and iconic tower overlooking the existing city. They and the medium density hotels, lower density retirement housing and eco retreats at the south end are linked together with a necklace road around a central Juru park with cultural center, arts and crafts, rock gardens, aviary and small animal preserve. A support community development to the east includes a retail center, school and 500 housing units for the retreat employees and others who want to be in proximity of this high profile location overlooking the new city center to the south.
