After completing testing and field trials, Oxbo International offers a solution: the Korvan 9240 mechanical jatropha harvester. Oxbo field tested various picking heads and determined that the Korvan Dynarotor ® picking system provides a selective harvesting action--picking only the ripe jatropha and leaving under-ripe fruit to further develop and to be picked at a later date. Mechanically harvesting Jatropha will be vital to making it a viable commercial fuel source: hand harvesting is labor-intensive and requires large numbers of workers. Mechanically harvesting jatropha enables growers to manage their harvest by picking only ripe fruit and picking with several passes through the field during the growing season. Oxbo’s Korvan 9240 allows for harvesting continuously, if necessary. With proper maintenance and staffing, it can pick over 10 hours per day and 7 days per week. Oxbo’s experience with over-the-row harvested crops, like blueberries and raspberries, provides us with the experience to provide the most cost effective method of picking, conveying, and cleaning the fruit in the field. Oxbo’s Jatropha Harvester Story

Jatropha growers understand that their product offers a viable solution to a needed reliable bio-fuel source. But, one missing link in the production of jatropha oil is a good method of harvesting. After completing testing and field trials, Oxbo International offers a solution: the Korvan 9240 mechanical jatropha harvester.

Oxbo field tested various picking heads and determined that the Korvan Dynarotor® picking system provides a selective harvesting action--picking only the ripe jatropha and leaving under-ripe fruit to further develop and to be picked at a later date.
