Congratulation and thank you for the purchasing SYA series, a multi-Chanel commercial amplifier.
These amplifiers are designed to provide a big impact in sound reproduction and to produce the
best and highest quality audio at an affordable price. We wish you great enjoyment and satisfaction
when using your amplifier, whether you are an installation, or reinforcement engineer.
Unpacking and Installation
Although it is neither complicated to install nor difficult to operate your amplifier, a few minutes of
your time is required to read this manual for a properly wired installation and becoming familiar with
its features and how to use them. Please take a great care may be needed when moving your set
and are required if it ever becomes necessary to return your set for service. Never place the unit
near radiator, in front of heating vents, to direct sun light, in excessive humid or dusty location to
avoid damages and to guaranty a long reliable use.
Connect your unit with the system components according to the description on the following
pages.

Front Panel Controls
Front panel description
The front panel of the SYA series slighly varies depending of the output configuration andpower rating, but basically the panel layout for all SYA amplifiers is similar.
1.Power switchA power switch allows to turn the amplifier on and off, while the blue indicator LEDlocated next to the button illuminates when the power is tumed on.
2.Indicator Led’sFour LED’s for every channel indicate the operation of the amplifier. The green SignalLED illuminates whenever a signal is present, while the -20dB LED illuminates when theinput signal exceeds the - 20 dBu level. The Clip LED illuminates when the correspondingchannel is working at maximum level. To ensure the best signal-to-noise ratio, the ClipLED may only illuminate at peak levels.
When the Clip LED illuminates frequently, the amplifier will be overloaded, a distorted“Clipping” sound will be available on the output. The Protection LED will illuminate whenoverheating occurs, or any other fault is detected. When the protection LED is illuminated,no signal will be available on the outputs. The protection LED’s will also illuminate for afew seconds when powering up the amplifier, and when the amplifier is switched off theywill slowly fade out.

Rear panel descriptionThe rear panel of the SYA series slightly varies depending of the output configuration andpower rating, but basically the panel layout for all SYA amplifiers is similar. An XLR inputconnector with XLR link-through output connector, a high pass filter switch, a gain controlpotentiometer and an terminal block output connector are provided for every channel.
1.AC Power inlet with fuseThe mains power supply (230V AC / 50~60Hz) has to be applied to this AC powerinlet. The connection is made by an IEC power connector and is fitted with a fuse. Whenreplacing the fuse, make sure that the value of the replacement fuse matches the value ofthe original fuse. (SY-A2240L: T4AH/250V - SY-A2480L: T6.3AH/250V - SY-A4240L: T6.3AH/250V- SY-A4480L: T12AH/250V)
2.High pass filter switchBy means of this switch, the integrated High Pass Filter (HPF) can be switched ON andOFF. When the filter is switched ON, frequencies below 400Hz will be suppressed.This can be useful for eliminating low-frequency hum and noise caused by externalequipment and protects speakers from damage caused by excessive low frequencytransients.
3.Gain control potentiometerEach channel is fitted with a gain control knob whereby the level for each individualchannel can be adjusted.
4.Loudspeaker connectionsThe loudspeaker output connections are performed using 4-pin terminal blockconnectors, making it possible to connect high impedance (100V) loudspeakers to theamplifier outputs.
5.Input connectionsThe input connections of the amplifier are performed using balanced XLR connectors.Every channel has a XLR input connector and a XLR link output connector. The inputsignal from the signal source, pre-amplifier or mixer should be connected to the XLRinput connections. And by means of the XLR link output connectors, the signal can belinked through to multiple amplifiers.

The input connections of the amplifier are performed using balanced XLR connectors. Everychannel has a XLR input connector and a XLR link output connector.The input signal from the signal source, pre-amplifier or mixer should be connected to theXLR input connections. The 100 Volt speakers may be connected in parallel on the outputs of the amplifierunless the maximum load / impedance has been reached. The number of allowableloadspeakers depends of the power / impedance of each connected loudspeaker.
