DescriptionofMachineTheDuncan‘Renovator’isaCoilTyneTee-bootdrill .Theboxismountedonarobustframeaccommodatinglargediametertyresforthearablesituation .Thegroundengagingcomponentsarecontrolledbyahydraulicramandrockerarmsystem,givingamplecontrolongroundpressure,goodtransportclearanceandcontourfollowingability .Sowingdepthiscontrolledbyadjustingthehydraulicramasrequired .ThequalityEuropeantypepegrollerseedersystemhandlesallseedsfromturnipandrapethroughtopeasandmaize .Theseedersaredrivenfromthegroundwheelsviaajockeywheelsystemandvariablespeedgearbox .Fortransportthedriveiseasilydisconnectedbyraisingthedrilltoitstransportheight .
WorkingPrincipleThegearbox,peggedseedrollersandseederflapsaresettogivethedesiredseedrate .Thecoiltyneandtee-boot,createtheseedbed .Seedflowsdowntheflexibletubesbetweenseederandtee-bootunits,anddropsintothepreparedseedbed .

Readtheproductlabelbeforeusing,notinganywarningsorspecialcautions,includinganyprotectiveclothingorequipmentthatmayberequired,ie.respirtor.
Donoteatorsmokewhilehandlingsprays,fertilisers,coatedseeds,etc .Afterwards,alwayswashyourhandsandfacebeforeyoueat,drink,smoke,orusethetoilet .
Storesprays,fertilisers,coatedseeds,etc .outofreachofchildrenandpets,andawayfromfoodandanimalfeeds .
Anysymptomsofillnessduringorafterusingchemicalsshouldbetreatedaccordingtothesupplier’s/manufacturer’srecommendations .Ifsevere,callaphysicianorgetthepatienttohospitalimmediately .Keepthecontainerand/orlabelforreference .
AvoidHighPressureFluidsAvoidanycontactwithfluidsleakingunderpressure,becausethefluidscanpenetratetheskinsurface .
Anyfluidwhichpenetratestheskin,willneedtoberemovedimmediatelybyamedicalexpert.Seekspecialistadviceonthistypeofinjury .
Relievethepressurebeforedisconnectinganyhydraulicorotherlines .Makeallrepairsandtightenallfittingsbeforere-connectiontopressurisedfluid .
Keepyourhandsandbodyawayfromanypinholesorhighpressurejets .Searchforleakswithapieceofcardboardinsteadofusingyourhanddirectly .
SafeWorkPracticesAllfarmmachineryispotentiallydangerousandshouldbetreatedwithcautionandrespect .
Beforestartingthemachine,ensurethatallcontrolsareplacedinneutralandthatbystandersarewellclear .Checkthattheguardshavebeensecurelyfittedandthatanyadjustmentshavebeenmadecorrectly .
Wherepossible,disconnectorisolatethedrivemechanismtotheimplement .Lowerthemachineontothegroundwhennotinuse .

GeneralMaintenanceAccidentsoccurmostfrequentlyduringservicingandrepair .Thefollowinggeneralrulesmustbefollowedwhenmaintainingorworkingwithmachinery:• Alloperatingandmaintenancemanualsmustbe readbeforeandreferredtowhileusingorservicingany pieceofequipment .• Turnoffallmachinerypowersourcesandisolatethe machinebeforemakingadjustments,doinglubrication, repairsoranyothermaintenanceonthemachine .• Ensurethatthemachinehydraulicsaredisconnectedfrom thepowersource .• Weargloveswhenhandlingcomponentswithcutting edges,suchasanygroundcuttingcomponents .• Bewareofhazardscreatedbyspringsundertension orcompressionwhendismantlingormaintainingthe machine .• Itisrecommendedthatyoucleanthemachinewithawater blasterorsimilarapparatusbeforecommencing maintenance .
MakeSuretheMachineisWellSupportedWhenmachineryisfittedwithhydraulics,donotrelyonthehydraulicstosupportthemachine .Duringmaintenanceorwhilemakingadjustmentsunderthemachine,alwayslockthehydraulicsandsupportthemachinesecurely .Placeblocksorotherstablesupportsunderelevatedpartsbeforeworkingonthese .
ElectricalMaintenanceDisconnecttheelectricalsupplyfromthetractorbeforedoinganyelectricalmaintenance .
WeldingWithelectronicequipmentinmoderntractorsitisadvisabletodisconnectthemachinefromthetractor,oratleastdisconnectthealternatorandbatterybeforeattemptinganywelding .
UseOnlyGenuineSparePartsUnauthorisedmodificationsornon-genuinesparepartsmaybehazardousandimpairthesafeoperationandworkinglifeofthemachine .
Excesslubricantsmustbedisposedofsafelysoasnottobecomeahazard .
