NC Small Business Center Network 2/25/2015 4 Started in 1984 by the NC General Assembly SBCs are hosted by NC Community Colleges Some SBCs have multiple sites or satellite offices 60+ offices state-wide SBCs purposively focus on entrepreneurship & economic development There is a SBC within a 30 minute drive of every NC resident 100% State funded through NC Legislature ($6.1M FY2013-2014) Funding represents an investment of $2,117 per job created/retained by network Copyright 2014-2015 James Sprunt Small Business Center.
