When Thomas Edison invented the light bulb, he tried over 2000 experiments before he go it to work. A young newspaper reporter asked him how it felt to fail so many times. He said, “I never failed once. I invented the light bulb. It just happened to be a 2000 step process.”

Abraham Lincoln At the age of 7, as a young boy and his family were forced out of their home and the boy was forced to go to work. When he was 9 his mother died. He wanted to go to law school but he had no education. At 23 he went into business, but his partner died and his business failed. He finally became a lawyer.

At 37, he was elected to government on his third try. He failed to be elected again. The man’s son died when the son was only 4. At age 45 he tried to be elected as Senator and failed. At 47 he tried to be elected as Vice President of the United States and failed. But at age 51 he was elected President of the United States.
