Containersectorincreasedby7.4%&sums186mildwt,160milGT, 14.2milTEU,comparedto174mildwt,148milGT&13.3milTEUin2009.
TheNewbuildingorderbookhasdecreasedoverallin2010.Thereare5771ships/unitsonorderandthesearescheduledtobedeliveredby
2014.Theseshipsonordercomparedtothe6727shipsthatconstruedtheorderbookoneyearago,are 14.2%intermsofshipsand 7%in
temsofcarryingcapcitydwt.Thetotalcarryingcapacityoftheorderbookamountsto416miltons,andthatis32miltonlessthanlastyear's
