TEAK QUALITY
GuildMaster uses grades A and B teak for its outdoor furniture. The quality of teak wood is determined by its grade. Grades for teak roots and slabs are based on the dimension and thicknesses.
Grade A: The best quality available. Grade A teak is taken from the heart wood at the center of the teak tree. Used for Table Slabs, it is characterized by a close grain and a warm honey color, with very few knots in the wood. It is rich in natural oils that protect the teak from weathering.
Grade B: The outer section of the heart wood is used to produce grade B teak. Used for Chairs and other Furniture, the grain of the wood will not be as close as that of grade A, and it will not contain as much natural oil, giving it a slightly darker color.

Outdoor Fabric Cushions
GuildMaster’s outdoor cushion fabric is comparable to Sunbrella Plus and is made from 100% polyester and is fade resistant to UV rays. The fabric is water repellant and includes an antifungal coating which resists mildew. The cushion is made of royal foam with a medium density which will keep its shape thoughout the life of the cushion. The foam is covered in a quick drying cloth and placed into the zippered outdoor fabric cover.

GuildMaster outdoor furniture is handcrafted from teak and assembled using mortise and tenon, half lap, and miter and dowel joints combined with an epoxy adhesive for assembly. Outdoor friendly materials also used in construction are concrete, stainless steel and plated aluminum. Stainless steel is used for furniture hardware.

Our products are manufactured in an environmentally responsible manner. We have made our company’s policy to source our teak wood only from government managed, credibly certified forests.
GuildMaster sources its teak from Indonesia which has some of the world’s largest teak plantations, with nearly 5 million acres of sustainable forests. Through responsible forest management, trees are constantly being planted at a rate that far exceeds those being felled.
SUSTAINABILITY
A water-based outdoor finish is used for GuildMaster’s teak products. Finishes are biocide-free and will not crack, flake or peel.
Teak Care: Apply outdoor weather sealer every 6 months to a year for teak left out in the direct elements. It is easy to apply and restores the oil and finish to the wood.
Stainless Steel Care: Wipe clean with a damp cloth or other stainless steel safe cleaning agent and polished with a dry cloth to bring out the shine. No abrasive cleaners or cloths should be used.
Concrete Care: Apply outdoor furniture wax seasonally.
Outdoor Fabric Care: Clean with bleach solution and fabrics will remain color fast without fading or bleeding.
