Our storyHeyland & Whittle is a British soap andhome fragrance manufacturer, well known for creating beautiful natural products, the traditional way.

Husband and wife team Paddy Heyland and UrsulaWhittle set up their family run, award winning luxury soap and fragrance company Heyland & Whittle on a farm in rural Surrey back in 2003.

Inspired by nature, Heyland & Whittle use the traditional cold-processed method to produce thefinest handmade soaps.

They use only the very best natural ingredientsessential oils, herbs, spices and pure colourants, like madder root and turmeric to produce a product range free from parabens and sulphates.

Home fragrance was the natural addition to their bath and body collection using signature fragrances, handmade in England naturally and delivered toyou, worldwide.

The factoryStep through the doors of the Heyland & Whittle factory and glorious sophisticated, fragrances greet you.

Paddy and Ursula pride themselves on the family atmosphere at the factory, where the Heyland & Whittle products are formulated, made and packaged for distribution worldwide. Teams of dedicated staff make up the highly trained and skilled workforce who oversee, with care and precision, the handmade soap and bath meltproduction, diffuser filling and candle pouring.

Sold by top retailers such as John Lewis and Fortnum & Mason, Heyland & Whittle’s quintessentially British ranges of fragranced candles, diffusers and bath and body products can also be found in hundreds of British independent shops as well as in places as far flung as the USA, Taiwan and Europe.

SoapsHeyland & Whittle are one of the largestmanufacturers of cold-processed soapin England.

Using the unique Heyland & Whittle recipe, only the purest ingredients, including a vast array ofessential oils, herbs and spices, are blended tocreate these handmade soaps. Specially selected fresh plant oils are gently warmed to their natural melting points and then slowly added to a naturally occurring alkalinesolution. As the mixture saponifies, pure essential oils, flower extracts, herbs and spices are generously added with natural colourings such as madder root, walnut leaves, nettle leaves and turmeric. Once the mixture reaches its perfect consistency, it is poured into moulds. These are then turned out after a few days and the soap is cured on shelves in the drying room for 6 weeks. It is then expertly hand cut into a variety of shapes and sizes. The creamy texture of the soap bars gently cleanses and nourishes all skin types and are free from parabens and sulphates.

Bath meltsA luxuriously indulgent bath melt packed with shea butter and nourishing cocoa butter to help moisturise, soften and soothe the skin. Drop into a warm bath and allow the body butter oils to blend into the water for a wonderfully relaxing bathing experience.

Hand creams rich in shea butter, sunflower oil and jojoba seed oil to moisturise and soothe the skin.

Our dedicated teams are passionate about creating high quality candles, diffusers and soaps. Product lines can be as small as 300 per fragrance to runs into the thousands. The cost per unit and lead times are dependent on each specification.
