L: Let us confess our sin in the presence of God and of one another. Silence is kept for reflection.

Most merciful God, C: we confess that we are captive to sin and cannot free ourselves.

We have sinned against you in thought, word, and deed, by what we have done and by what we have left undone. We have not loved you with our whole heart; we have not loved our neighbors as ourselves. For the sake of your Son, Jesus Christ, have mercy on us. Forgive us, renew us, and lead us, so that we may delight in your will and walk in your ways, to the glory of your holy name. Amen.

Congratulations to the 2018 Confirmation Class! Reset your clocks! - Don’t forget to turn your clocks back 1 hour next Saturday, Nov. 3rd when you go to bed. Daylight Savings Time ends so we gain an extra hour of sleep.

WELCA Mission Kits - Thank you for all your donations for our mission kits which were blessed in our church service on October 7. There were 35 health kits, 25 school kits & 9 baby care kits. Thanks to Marnie Anderson for taking them to the semi in Eau Claire. From there they were shipped to a Lutheran World Relief warehouse in St. Paul. Last year it was reported to us that our kits went to Niger. In 2018 kits have gone to Angola & Senegal. On August 22, 2018 our school kits were shipped to Nicaragua. School Kits, Health Kits, Baby Care Kits & Quilts will be distributed to 42,000 students in Nicaragua by LWR. These students are children of coffee farmers, producers & workers who attend schools in impoverished & high risk districts. What a blessing our kits will be to these students!

Harvest Dinner Results - Thanks to one & all who donated, prepared &/or served our Harvest Dinner last Sunday! THANKS also to all who supported us by coming to eat & buying Raffle Tickets. We served 311 in carry-outs & 195 + 8 children in house. This is about the same as last year so we consider it a successful project. We will have a financial report to you when all the bills are paid. Thanks again for your work & for your support. The Church Office will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 1st. It will be open on Friday, Nov. 2nd. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

The Christmas gift boxes are out in the narthex for collecting donations for Trempealeau County Health Care Center, New Horizons & Pajama Gramma. There is a wish list of gifts for TCHCC in the box. New Horizons can use personal items such as a comb & brush, soap, shampoo, deodorant, tooth brushes & paste for both adults & children. Small toys & stuffed animals are appreciated too. Financial donations are welcome also. Put them in the offering plate in an envelope marked for the cause you choose. These items are needed by November 30th so we are starting the collections earlier this year. Thank you for your generosity for those less fortunate.

There are boxes of squash in the narthex to be served at the Community Thanksgiving Dinner. THANKS to Drs. Martin & Selkurt for this wonderful donation!!! We need volunteers to help us by baking & scooping them out at home. Then return them to the freezer at church in a disposable container (cool whip container works well). Thank you to any who could help us with this task. All are welcome to come to the Community Thanksgiving Dinner on November 22, at 12 noon in OSL fellowship hall.
