A Family Perspective by Bud Ozar
Mary was excited about her first pregnancy and rushed to tell her cousin. Sadly children are often seen as a liability, “another mouth to feed” or an “obstacle to my career.” It is said “Christmas is for children.” It is more accurate to say “Christmas is for adults to appreciate the gift of children!”

Reflection on the Extra Jubilee of Mercy
All of us know well the experience of sin. We are called to perfection, yet we feel the heavy burden of sin.
Reconciliation with God is made possible through the paschal mystery and the mediation of the Church. The
mercy of God is stronger than the negative effects of sin. Through the Bride of Christ, His sin, enabling him to act with charity, to grow in love rather than to fall back into
sin (Misericordiae Vultus). During this season of preparing, let us approach the Father’s mercy with the
certainty that His forgiveness extends to the very depths of our sinfulness.
2016 Contribution Envelopes have arrived!
Please pick up your box of envelopes from the tables in the vestibule. If your envelope box is not there or if
you would like to receive envelopes for 2016, please contact the parish office.
Just a friendly Reminder:
When leaving Mass please try to pick up any trash or bulletins left in chairs. We must remember this is God’s house and a place of worship that must be kept clean.
Thank you!

Stephen or Stephan, traditionally venerated as the Protomartyr or first martyr of Christianity, was according to the Acts of the Apostles a deacon in the early church at Jerusalem who aroused the enmity of members of various synagogues by his teachings. Accused of blasphemy, at his trial he made a long speech denouncing the Jewish authorities who were sitting in judgment on him and was then stoned to death. His martyrdom was witnessed by Saul of Tarsus, a Pharisee who would later himself become a follower of Jesus.
Our Feast Day Mass will be celebrated Saturday, December 26th. at 10:00 a.m. There will be a
reception after mass.
Two $50.00 gas cards will be raffled off after mass. You must be present to win.
