NOTE FROM OUR PRINCIPAL
As we get ready for Easter break, I pray that you will have a blessed Holy Week and a joyful Easter. This Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, we experience Christ’s last supper, His Passion, His Cross, and then His empty tomb and resurrection. I pray that your family will have an intimate encounter with Christ this Holy Week and Easter. Below is a schedule of OLA Parish events for the Triduum and Easter.
Holy Thursday 7:00 p.m. Evening Mass of the Lord’s Supper: Adoration until 10:00 p.m in the chapel
Good Friday Service at 12 Noon, and Stations of the Cross at 7:00 p.m.
Easter Vigil (St. Augustin called this “The Mother of all Masses”) Saturday at 8:15 p.m.
Easter Sunday Masses 8:00am, 10:00am (Easter Egg Hunt to follow), 12:00 noon.
Staffing Update I am pleased to announce that Mike McKenna, who has been our interim Physical Education teacher and Athletic Director, will become our permanent PE teacher and AD. Mr. McKenna has done a terrific job in the role and accepted the offer last week. We welcome Mr. McKenna as a permanent member of our faculty. I wish to express appreciation to Scott Lippi who filled in as interim AD in the winter after Mr. Callaghan left OLA. Mr. Lippi was a life saver! Through the years, he has helped our athletic program as our Little Dribbler coordinator, our Cougar Classic Golf Tournament chair and founder, and as an influential voice on the OLA athletic committee. Thank you, Mr. Lippi, for your invaluable service.
Parking Lot Project Over the Easter break, the Walnut parking lot will be re-sealed. If you need to come on campus or visit the parish, please park in the Cottage lot.
God bless you this Easter,
Robert Love
