This Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, we experience Christ’s last supper, His Passion, His Cross, and then His empty tomb and resurrection. I pray that your family will have an intimate encounter with Christ this Holy Week and Easter. Below is a schedule of OLA Parish events for the Triduum and Easter. Holy Thursday 7:00 p.m. Evening Mass of the Lord’s Supper: Adoration until 10:00 p.m in the chapel Good Friday Service at 12 Noon, and Stations of the Cross at 7:00 p.m. Easter Vigil (St. Augustin called this “The Mother of all Masses”) Saturday at 8:15 p.m. Easter Sunday Masses 8:00am, 10:00am (Easter Egg Hunt to follow), 12:00 noon. Staffing Update I am pleased to announce that Mike McKenna, who has been our interim Physical Education teacher and Athletic Director, will become our permanent PE teacher and AD. Mr. McKenna has done a terrific job in the role and accepted the offer last week. We welcome Mr. McKenna as a permanent member of our faculty. I wish to express appreciation to Scott Lippi who filled in as interim AD in the winter after Mr. Callaghan left OLA. Mr. Lippi was a life saver! Through the years, he has helped our athletic program as our Little Dribbler coordinator, our Cougar Classic Golf Tournament chair and founder, and as an influential voice on the OLA athletic committee. Thank you, Mr. Lippi, for your invaluable service. Parking Lot Project Over the Easter break, the Walnut parking lot will be re-sealed. As we get ready for Easter break, I pray that you will have a blessed Holy Week and a joyful Easter. Dates: Yee Haw! The Country Fair is just THREE-AND-ONE-HALF weeks away! Save the dates – Friday, May 5th,

5:00pm-9:00pm, and Saturday, May 6th, 3:00pm-9:00pm. We have many of your old favorites and some new exciting

additions! Can’t wait to see you there! Please see the attached flyer for details.

Pre-Sale Tickets: Pre-sale ticket forms are HERE! In addition to the packets that came home with yer oldest young’n last week, an interactive form, which is included as a separate attachment to the bulletin email, will let you fill it in right on yer computer! Forms are due in the office by 4/27, and tickets will be sent home with your oldest young’n the week before our big fair. If you have questions, please contact Nancy King at [email protected].

Raffle Donations: We need your help to make our Country Fair Raffle a success! New or Gently Used Stuffed Animals Needed: Spring cleaning? Consider donating to the Country Fair Fun Zone all those stuffed animals your children no longer use, that are in good condition. You can drop them by the office. If you have any questions, contact [email protected] or [email protected].

Donations Requested!: We are in need of water, soda, and sport drinks. Please drop in the office. Thank you!

Volunteers: Families needing pre Country Fair hours due to previous commitments, such as being out of town the weekend of the fair, please contact the work force chair Michelle Munn at [email protected].

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES As a reminder, all K-8 families are required to work 8 Country Fair hours or 2 Country Fair shifts while Preschool only families work 4 Country Fair hours or 1 Country Fair shift. This year, families are offered a chance to work either the Country Fair, the Golf Tournament, or a combination of both events to meet their hour requirement; meaning Golf Tournament hours may be substituted hour for hour for Country Fair

hours. Golf Tournament hours are limited and are meant to offer families who are unable to work any or part of the Country Fair weekend a chance to fulfill their commitment. Please email any questions to [email protected].

PARISH YOUTH NEWS

OLA Youth Choir and Ensemble (Grades 3-12): All parish and school children grades 3-12 are invited to participate in these activities. We are looking for both singers and instrumentalists. Practices are from 6:00-6:55pm on Wednesday evenings, in the church, right before the OLA youth group meetings. Youth Ministry Dinner and Mass Fellowship Night: Every 3

rd Sunday of the month, come and break bread in the youth

room. Then, attend Mass together and experience our faith through prayers and worship. There will be a light dinner in the youth room from 6:30pm to 7:15pm followed by attendance at the 7:30pm Mass. Help to participate in the Mass by greeting, ushering, bringing up the gifts, and Reading. This evening is for youth in grades 7–12. RSVP is not required.
