Preparing for Next Sunday Seventh Sunday of Easter

The first reading from Acts recalls the martyrdom of Stephen. As he dies, he sees Jesus in heaven with God. Stephen asks forgiveness for his murderers. The second reading gives us hope that the day of the Lord’s return is near. In the Gospel, Jesus prays that all people may be united with him and with God the Father.

Gala Raffle Tickets Gala Raffle tickets are ready to be picked up after Mass today. Please sell your tickets and get them turned in as soon as possible. The raffle tickets don’t have numbers but we will call the winner by the name on the raffle ticket stub. Be sure to put your name, address and phone number on the raffle ticket stub. The OLMC Gala is only two weeks away, on Saturday, May 7th. We are asking each family to sell at least $100.00 worth of tickets this year, and more if you are able to do so. Additional books of tickets will be available in back of the church and at the Parish Center. If you have any further questions regarding the raffle, please contact John and Lillian Kozel at 713-991-3745.

CCC provides content the way you need it, in podcasts for daily readings, on websites to connect with other faithful, and on social networking sites. Please be generous in next week’s collection and support this important work. Remember, half of your donations stay in our archdiocese to support our communication needs.
