Preparing for Next Sunday The Baptism of the Lord

Isaiah prophesies that God will send his servant, the one on whom God’s Spirit will rest. In our reading from the Acts of the Apostles, Peter confirms that God’s Spirit was upon Jesus at his baptism. A voice from heaven declared that Jesus was God’s beloved son, in whom he was well pleased.
