A Closer Look at Graduate/Professional School Attendance

More than 22% of UW-Green Bay’s Class of 2014 are pursuing additional education at 88 different institutions across 27 differ-ent states, two Canadian provinces, and the United Kingdom. Each year a significant number of graduates pursue degrees in the medical/health sciences field and law. Over the past 15 years (2000-2014 survey years), the following schools are the most frequently attended by respondents:

Where are Our Graduates Employed? Out of the 88% of the Class of 2014 who reported being employed, 84% have stayed in Wisconsin, and the remaining are employed in 31 states. Eight reported working internation-ally in Canada, Germany, Spain, South Korea and the United Kingdom.

52% of the Class of 2014 answered “yes” to the question, “Did you accept your position prior to graduation?” Only 10% of those em-ployed indicated accepting their positions six months to 12 months after graduation.

Graduates’ Jobs Relate to Their Majors

The majority of the Class of 2014 is working in a position related to their program of study. For the question, “Is your position related to your major/program of study?” 80% of the 509 responses indicated “Yes.” (63% = Very Related and 17% = Yes, Somewhat Related)
