CliffNotes….. This Sunday morning we will have our quarterly observance of the Lord’s Supper. That great ordinance of the church gives us a special opportunity to relect on our own personal spiritual lives, so that we might seek the spiritual renewal we need. As I am writing this, I have just come from a small group discussion where current events were considered. The usual discouraging trends in our culture were talked about, and at the end of our time there we returned to the timeless answers that come from God’s Word. For any culture, in any time, in any remote corner of the world, the real solutions to the moral and spiritual issues of the human race lie in the profound truths of the Bible. The really good news is that in Christ we have exactly what the world desperately needs. May we indeed be spiritually wise and securely anchored to Biblical truth in our own generation!
