USO FUNDING IN HARYANA
Status Of Rural Telephony in Haryana There are 6764 Villages in Haryana as per Census
2001 Almost all have been covered with Village Public
Telephones. 762 villages have a population of more than 2000
and no PCO, thus qualifying for subsidy for provision of Rural Community Phone. Subsidy is being disbursed towards RCPs being provided by BSNL and Reliance Infocomm.
Subsidy is being disbursed to BSNL and Reliance for a total of 32,722 Rural House Hold Dels installed between 1.4.2003 to 31.3.2005.
Subsidy is being paid to Tata T eleservices for Rural Dels installed between 1.4.2005 and 31.3.2007.

USO At present Subsidy is paid towards:
1. Subsidy towards Operation and Maintenance of existing VPTs. (Identified as per 1999 Census)-BSNL.
2.Subsidy towards Replacement of MARR VPTs after 30.6.2003 and Operation and Maintenance of new VPTS installed in their place. Valid for 9 years from 25.9.03-BSNL.
3.Subsidy towards Replacement of MARR VPTs between 1.4.2002 and 30.6.2003.(subsidy support includes annualised Capital recovery
and Opex) for period of 7 years-BSNL.

4. Subsidy towards provision of Rural Community Phones: BSNL and Reliance5. Subsidy towards Provision of Rural Dels-BSNL and Reliance(1.4.02-31.3.05): and Tata Tele Services (1.4.05 to 31.3.07)

Five SSAs physically inspected and
reported on.
Hundred Percent Verification of VPTs against billing records carried out in preference to further physical inspection as desired by USF Admn.

During: 2005-06 Claims Settled: Rs 25,66,94,364 on
account of various Agreements so far. Fully verified VPT list submitted to DOT HQ
after examination of BSNL replies to our Verification reports.
We are now working with BSNL to get all faulty/Disconnected VPTs made functional
