Initially Tom has decided that for his business cards he would like to have themfoiled, so we had chosen to go for silver foil on white, but as the logo and brandingbegan to develop Tom decided that he would rather focus on introducing colour, initially I was quite unsure but in the end we agreed to use to different colours, ablue and a orange. After deciding the colours Tom also decided that he would ratherhave the cards printed with a UV Spot varnish.
Due to time constraints and managing my other briefs myself and Tom havent
been able to take the cards to production yet although I have a sourced a printer(rugbyprinter.co.uk) who can produce 500 UV spot varnish cards for 37.

BRIEF
Originally one of my main briefs I had began rebranding the Blazewear HeatedClothes company with the idea to produce a new brand and apply this to print, packaging and online presence.
CONCEPT
The rebrand for Blazewear was focused on making sure the brand represented thequality and diversity of products on offer whilst ensuring it was able to stand outagainst its competitors within the market.
DELIVERABLES
As this brief was dropped at an early stage the only deliverables to show are theinitial design concepts for the new logo.
BRIEF 5c / Blazewear (Branding Development)

Original Logo
Having done a range of design work for Blazewear in the past it has always been astruggle to get past the current logo, it does not represent the quality and conceptof the products that are on offer and is essentially far too outdated. The idea behinfthe brief was to rebrand the company by starting off with a more suitable logo.
Design Development
As mentioned as Ive worked with Blazewear in the past it was really dif cult to tryand forget what is already existing, having a range of ideas I tried to use the idea ofheat and re to create a symbol that had some relevance to the concept but couldbe used on its own without needing the name Blazewear as for some garment andproducts its just a symbol that represents the logo.
Whilst coming up with a range of development for the logo I would nd thatanything I tried to work with was far too similar to what was already out there, some of the initial development looked to much like the Santander logo or thecolours used reminded people of already existing brands. I thought it would be bestto move away slightly from the more obvious ame shape and began working withsomething that was a bit more subtle.
Decisions
For me this idea was working the best, it wasnt too obvious but still communicated
the idea behind heated clothing technology. Choosing appropriate colours was thenext stage and again I found myself being drawn to the original colours used by thecompany, the grey, yellow and orange tones seem to communicate best and some ofthe warmer tones such as the blues and reds didnt seen that appropriate.
The two logos on the right are the ones that I felt were working best, although thetype isnt nalised I felt that this was the kind of direction the brand needed to go inand the colours were the ones that worked best.
Proposed Logo
I was quite disapointed that I wasnt enjoying this brief as much as I had hoped
which is why I had chosen to drop the brief to develop the Alternative Careers oneas a main brief instead of an additional one. I had spent a lot of time researchingand developing the project only to nd that it wasnt really going as well as I hadoriginally hoped.
The set of Logos above are as far as the project went. I think that I could potentiallywork on this brief after Christmas for FMP whether Ill enjoy it or not is down towhether I can re ne the logo to make it as strong as possible.
