How do we hear?
Sound is caught by the outsidepart of the ear and moves
down the ear canal to theeardrum.

Infant, toddler, and pre-schoolchildren with CHL often displayaggressive and demandingbehaviour. While seven-to-ten-yearolds can be the same or may bequiet, sulky and withdrawn.

Teenage boys with a history ofotitis media are more likely todefensive and have behaviourproblems. Generally girls are morelikely to be less socially confidentthan their peers. Many but not allchildren with CHL respond in theseways.
