PRESERVE WV AMERICORPS PROGRAMThe Preserve WV AmeriCorps program is Preservation Alliance of West Virginia’s statewide service initiative to promote cultural heritage tourism and enhance historic resource re-use and redevelopment projects in West Virginia. Preserve WV AmeriCorps members
after a work day at McCoy Fort in Williamsport, WV.

The endangerments can involve:
• Neglect
• Proposed demolition
• Rezoning or redevelopment
• Other human or environmental factors

TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE: SITE VISITS
• The PAWV Field Representative provides site assessment services
• Once a site visit is made, a narrative needs assessment will be generated

NEEDS ASSESSMENTThe needs assessment is useful to the property steward for several reasons and can be used when applying for:
• Grants
• Tax exemptions
• National Register nomination and listing
