The counseling center will begin sending out appoint-ment emails to schedule 8th grade College and Career Readiness Plan appoint-
ments. If you need an evening ap-pointment, please call Mrs. Vellinga at (801) 465-6021
ASAP to schedule an evening appointment as we have lim-
ited spots available. We would like a parent to attend this appointment with their
student if possible.

They went to Cedar City last week to performance and compete against other junior highs in the state. They
performed well and enjoyed their time.

After School Clubs After School Clubs are starting August 27 in Miss Ogden's room C-66. We will have homework help clubs, volleyball, frisbee, chess, robotics, foods, wrestling, girls ten-nis, and dungeons and dragons clubs. Reg-istration forms can be picked up the first day of each club. If students missed the first day of club they can still register for clubs. The registration fee is $10 for the year and can be paid with Mrs. Allen in the finance office. Golf Season is here! Upcoming Tournaments District Final: Monday, October 8th @ Hobble Creek, 10:00. 18 holes with 4 players from each school. There will be tee times for players at Hobble Creek.

Cross Country Meet Friday at Payson Jr. Girls race at 3:30, boys at 4:00. We will be racing Mt. Nebo, Sa-lem and Diamond Fork. Come support our CC Team!
Payson High Girls Soccer Team Many of our 9th grade girls are playing soc-cer with the High School. Please come out and support our girls.

ATTENDANCE MATTERS! We are excited to get the year started with the Weekly competition between the 7th, 8th, and 9th grade for the best 1st period attendance! Also the Perfect Attendance Honor Roll will be posted weekly in the front cabinet. We will be drawing stu-dents names from this list every week to win prizes such as ice cream from The Big Red Barn, Doughnuts from Payson Market, or Drinks from Sip in these are just a few of the many prizes available.

Please see Mrs. Hal-crow in the front office for your reward! 7th graders continue to win each week! Ninth and eighth graders need to step up the competition. The grade that wins the best attendance by the end of 1st term will win an all expense paid trip to Stadi-um Cinemas on November 6th to watch a movie (popcorn and drink included) The movie is still to be determined.
