STARTUP & ABOUT INTRODUCING OST2 PST CONVERTER FOR MICROSOFT OUTLOOK OST2 PST Converter is a free OST to PST (Microsoft Outlook Personal Storage Table files) conversion software. It is a downloadable PC application that allows you to convert connected Microsoft Exchange .OST files to Outlook .PST files. OST2 Enterprise Edition is a corporate solution which features conversion of OST file that are not connected to Microsoft Exchange server, option to connect converted PST file to Microsoft Outlook and customizing conversion of whole network via configuration file, which allows to convert multiple OST files at a time, set a scheduled conversion at a specific time interval and make the conversion hidden from end users. If you are looking for a software that will convert OST file to PST file format quickly and easy, OST2 is what you need. After couple clicks you will be able to open converted PST file in Outlook. Our OST converter is useful if for some reason Microsoft Exchange data needs to be moved and opened in Outlook. Our free tool is able to do it simply and easily.

INSTALLATION

• Prior to installation

1. You need to have Windows® Administrator rights in order to install OST2 PST Converter for Microsoft® Outlook® .

2. Please check that you are running Microsoft Outlook 2002 (SP-2), 2003, 2007, or 2010 as OST2 PST Converter is incompatible with any Outlook version prior to 2002/XP (SP-2); check other System Requirements as well. You can update your Microsoft Outlook version here.

3. Download the latest version of OST2 PST Converter setup file from the OST2 website and save it to an easy to find place.

Installation steps:

1. Close Microsoft® Outlook® and all open programs. 2. Install the previously downloaded product by opening/clicking the "setup" file from the location

where you saved it. Follow the instruction on the screen. 3. Start Microsoft Outlook. 4. You are now ready to start using the program!

...the problem might be related to Microsoft Outlook integrity. Prior to reinstalling OST2 PST Converter, please perform the following:

If installation was interrupted or incomplete,

1. Uninstall Product (Start-> Control Panel-> Add or Remove Programs).

2. Use the Detect and Repair feature in Microsoft Outlook Help menu to make sure it is operating properly. You may need the original Microsoft Office® or Microsoft Outlook CD-Rom. If Detect and Repair was unsuccessful, please address the issue to Microsoft support team or IT Professionals. Installation of 4Team software will not be possible until Microsoft Outlook integrity is restored.

• Please keep in mind that the "Detect and Repair" feature is not related to our software and recommended to be performed each time you experience functional problems with Microsoft Outlook.

• Please refer to our FAQ & Troubleshooting section of the HELP documentation.

• For IT Professionals in order to restore Microsoft Outlook integrity:

o Use the “Detect and Repair ” feature in your Microsoft Outlook (you may need the original Microsoft Office or Microsoft Outlook CD-Rom). If this feature is successfully fulfilled, you may proceed to the next step. If not, we recommend that you save your *.pst file and repeat the procedure, but this time with "Discard my..." checked. Use the SCANPST feature, which will check the integrity of your *.pst file. Find this file in your computer and remember the name. Close Microsoft Outlook.

o Find the SCANPST.EXE file on your hard disk. Launch the program by clicking on SCANPST.EXE.

o In the dialogue box click "Browse..." and choose the path for your *.pst file. Click "Open". Then click "Start”. If the program finds any problems, click "Repair". Click "Close". If the problems persist, address them to Microsoft support team.

VERSIONS OF OST2 PST CONVERTER OST2 PST Converter is available in two editions: Free and Enterprise Edition.

The Free edition is for the personal use only. Only one OST file can be converter at once. It has no advanced administrative options. It does not convert OST files which are not connected to server.

The Enterprise edition has been designed mostly for corporate use. It provides system administrators with full control via configuration files and a command line utility to organize batch conversion of OST files for a large number of end-users. It features conversion of OST files which are not connected to Microsoft Exchange server anymore and option to connect converted PST file to Microsoft Outlook. The Free edition doesn’t require activation. The Enterprise edition can be activated:

Manually by right-clicking on the notification area icon, selecting “About OST2 PST Converter Enterprise Edition“, and clicking the “Activate” button;

A progress bar will appear showing the conversion progress. • You can customize conversion using Configuration file parameters. This includes:

Activating product by inserting the Activation code; Pointing several computers on the network to use same configuration file; Custom Scheduling; Hiding User Interface on end user workstation; ... and many more.

MAIN OST2 PST CONVERTER DIALOG AND NOTIFICATION AREA ICON The main OST2 PST Converter dialog has the following sections:

1 ) Path to the source OST file or files. This is an important parameter that defines the location of OST files to convert. OST2 will detect the OST files automatically. In case it is empty there are no OST files to convert. 2 ) Browse button. Click "..." to browse and select the location where you want your converted PST files to be saved. 3 ) "Scan"* button. Click "Scan" to scan for available OST files and select which files to convert. 4 ) The path to location of converted PST files; 5 ) Browse button. Click "..." to browse and select the location where you want your converted PST files to be saved. The path to location of converted PST files; 6 ) Explore – opens the destination folder in Windows Explorer; 7 ) "Connect the converted PST file(s) to Outlook automatically and open Outlook" option. * If selected, OST2 PST Converter will connect the converter PST files and open Outlook. 8 ) "Convert" button. Click "Convert" to start OST to PST conversion. 9 ) "Cancel" button. FAQ, TIPS & TROUBLESHOOTING FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1. How do I purchase Enterprise Edition? What delivery options do I have? Click here to purchase OST2 Enterprise Edition. Contact us to receive your 14-day Trial Version. Volume discounts are available.

2. Do you provide a discount for non-profit organizations? Yes, we do. Send us your NPO statement of exemption by fax and indicate the name of the actual purchaser and his/her e-mail address where we can send the Promo Code that will generate a 15% discount.

3. I've just purchased the program but still don’t have the Activation Code. We e-mail Activation Codes within 24 hours after the purchase. But on workdays we usually send Activation Codes within 1 hour. Please send us an e-mail or call us if you don't receive it within this period.

4. What is a PST file? Unless you are using a Microsoft Exchange Server e-mail account or an HTTP account, such as MSN® Hotmail®, all of your Outlook data is stored in a Personal Folders file (.pst). Even when you have a Microsoft Exchange Server or Hotmail account, you can back up data to a .pst file, which is stored locally on your computer rather than on the e-mail server. Each .pst file contains all your Outlook folders, including the Inbox, Calendar, and Contacts. You can have a single .pst file (usually called Personal Folders in your Folder List) but you can also have an additional .pst file that you use for archiving.

5. What version of OST2 should I use? OST2 comes in two versions – Free for personal use and Enterprise for corporate customers. To help you decide we put up a comparison chart that could be found here.

7. Is it possible to convert OST file that is not connected to Exchange Server? Yes, it is possible to convert OST file that is not connected to Exchange Server with OST2 Enterprise Edition.

8. Why some options are disabled? How could I enable them? Such options as scan of Microsoft Outlook connected OST files on your computer; connecting converted files to Outlook and scheduling the OST to PST conversion are available in the Enterprise Edition only. You can purchase Enterprise Edition here.

9. How can I back up Exchange using OST2? You can back up your Exchange account mailbox by converting the OST file (Exchange Offline Storage file) to a PST file. You can do it once and have a backup copy in the PST format, or set up scheduled conversion for automatic backup using Enterprise Edition. UNINSTALL
