Vision

• In 2013, Food Development Cluster will be Finland’s most remarkable development organization in food sector, and its cooperation with research, development and companies generates growth, internationalization and new business opportunities to the whole branch of business.

Funding of the cluster

• Food Development Cluster (like other 12 OSKE clusters) is a national cluster funded by the Ministry of Employment and Economy and regional authorities (50/50) we can help companies all over the Finland

• The funding and our work is mainly pointed to SMEs, but we can also work with big companies if it is profitable to SMEs

• Services cluster provides to companies: – Internationalisation

– The world of projects

– Development and growth of companies

– Brainstorming with experts

– Sparring partner for companies

• Finland is one of the leading countries in food safety

• Main reason for this is deep cooperation in whole food chain from farm to fork: – farming

• Assosiation has been established in 2010

• About 20 organizations as members o logistics

• Finnish food safety authority EVIRA works in deep cooperation with FSMF

• Help small companies in their international activities

• To provide large scale offering to countries and companies interested in Finnish food safety know-how
