Schindlers Jews
• Schindler used bribery, and black marketing
*marched into Poland on the heels of the SS
*made friends with the local Gestapo, softening them up with women, money and illicit booze
- that helped to persuade the Germans to
let Oskar own an Enameled-Goods Factory.

Oscar Schindler Had His Jews Backs!
• Outwitted Hitler and Germans• by the end of the war he had spent everything he
made on keeping 1,300 Jewish men and women alive. • He Stood up for Jews when being blamed for a
crime they didn’t commit: “an SS man put a potato in his mouth. He had to
stand outside like that in the cold weather, and it was written on him 'I'm a potato thief.' When Schindler saw it, he took the potato out of his mouth, and said to the guy, 'go back to your work.' And he told the SS man: In my camp you don't do those things."
• Schindler remained true to the “Schindlerjuden,” the workers he referred to as “my children.”

What Schindlers Jews Dealt With
• Poland had been a relative haven for European Jews—Krakow's Jewish population numbered over 50,000
Jews were herded into crowded ghettos, randomly beaten and humiliated, and killed. Jewish property and businesses were summarily destroyed, or taken over by the SS and 'sold' to Nazi 'investors', one was the fast talking, womanizing, money hungry Oskar Schindler.

– In December 1939, as occupied Poland was being torn apart by the savagery of the Holocaust, that's when Schindlers saving the Jews began.
• Many of the Jews thought Oskar Schindler was a “heavy drinking womanizing German”
- then the Jews saw that Oskar is what stood them between life and death.
• Schindler was making money, everyone in his factory was fed, no-one was beaten, and no-one was killed
• Oskar kept the Jews that worked for him in his factory to sleep in his Barracks, for safety
*Oskar was asked questions of why he helped the Jews when he had everything he needed?
- 'I was a Nazi, and I believed that the Germans were
doing wrong ... when they started killing innocent people - and it didn't mean anything to me that they were Jewish, to me they were just human beings, - I decided I'm going to work against them and I'm going to save as many as I can.'
-"The persecution of Jews in occupied Poland meant that
we could see horror emerging gradually in many ways. In 1939, they were forced to wear Jewish stars, and people were herded and shut up into ghettos. Then, in the years '41 and '42 there was plenty of public evidence of pure sadism. With people behaving like pigs, I felt the Jews were being destroyed. I had to help them. There was no choice."
Oskar Schindler died A hero to the Holocaust victims he saved!
• In the autumn of 1999 a suitcase belonging to Oskar Schindler was discovered, it held over 7,000 photographs and documents, including the list of Schindler's Jewish workers. The document, on his enamelware factory's letterhead, had been provided to the SS stating that the named workers were "essential" employees. Inside of the suitcase, included the list of the names of those he had saved and the writings of his farewell speech before leaving "his" Jews in 1945, are now at the Holocaust museum of Yad Vashem in Israel.
