Ortho-One Orthopaedic Speciality Centre January 2018 Welcome back Dr. Shyam Sundar Hearty Welcome to Dr. Shyam Sundar Manimozhi,MS Ortho, FIA (INDIA), FASM (INDIA),FSSM (South Korea), FAOA (Australia), PGR (USA).It is a pleasure to have him back in our institution. Dr. Shyam is back after a one year fellowship and training in Sydney, Australia. He had exclusive training in shoulder, elbow and knee care surgeries. his focus will be on promoting shoulder and elbow treatment. MTB Challenge ‘18 Cycle Rally Camp was organized on January 7th, 2018 (Sunday) at The Samhita Academy, Coimbatore. This event was held mainly for children between 4-11 years. All the children actively and enthusiastically participated in this event. Ortho-One Orthopaedic Speciality Centre served as a Sports Medicine partner and First Aid support was given for the injured patients. More than 300 Children participated in the event.

Kiddathon EventThe Mirchi Kiddathon Event was organised for Kids aged 4-11 years onJanuary 21st, 2018 (Sunday) between 6 am – 9 pm at BishopAppasamy College, Coimbatore. More than 1000 children participatedin this event. Ortho-One Orthopaedic Specility Centre served as aSports Medicine partner. Mr. Anoop from the PhysiotherapyDepartment and Ms. Pavithra from the Nursing team were a part of thisbig event. First Aid support was provided for children who were injured.
KPR CollegeAn Awareness Class was conducted for the YRC Volunteers of KPRCollege students on 24th January, 2018 (Wednesday) .
Dr. Santosh (Sports Injuries, Arthroscopy and Elbow Surgeon) gave alecture on the following title, “Injury Prevention” and Mr. Ernest Paul(Sports Physiotherapist) shared on “Sports Injury and Ergonomics.” Itwas encouraging to see more than 150 students participating in thisevent.
Sri Krishna College of Engineering andTechnologyA sports meet was organized at Sri Krishna College of Engineering andTechnology, Coimbatore on 29th January 2018 (Monday). More than 24Colleges from different parts of Coimbatore actively participated in thisevent.
Ortho-One was the Medical Partner for the event. Dr. M. Shyam Sundar(Sports Medicine, Trauma, Arthroscopy, Arthritis & Arthroplasty Surgeon) addressed the gathering on the topic "Sports injuries andcreating awareness about injuries and educating the sportingpopulation".
This was indeed a great initiative mainly boosting the sports sector inour region. Moving forward, such events would eventually motivateand pave way for future development in other districts too that focuson giving sports and sports science a huge opportunity to prosper onpar with International Standards.
