To keep this database current, ORISE annually collects and processes more than 100,000 exposure records from 98 organizations. 2015 – CDC’s response to the Ebola outbreak in West Africa received multifaceted support from ORISE. CDC asked ORISE to identify, select and manage the training team that prepared clinicians going on deployments to Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone. 2015 – ORISE experts served as lead planners for DOE’s participation in Southern Exposure 2015, a full- scale nuclear power plant accident-response exercise involving more than 1,000 participants. REAC/TS experts provided just-in-time training for medical, health physics and emergency planning personnel. 2015 – ORISE placed 9,400 participants from 1,114 colleges and universities into workforce development programs. e events along this timeline demonstrate how DOE responded to and ORISE supported key national priorities.
