• Can handle multiple subtended rings

• Timing Sub-system Timing can be derived from

• External inputs – 2MHz or 2Mbps• STM-1/4/16 or OC-3/12/48 and E1 Interfaces• Internal Stratum-3 clock

Common Modules:Cross Connect and Controller Card (XCC)



PSM: takes - 48 V DC as input and provides - 5 V & - 12 V DC to other subsystems. It has the following features:

• - 36 V DC to - 60 V DC operation

• Reverse Polarity protection

• Automatic shutdown when power exceeds - 60 V or falls below -36 V

• No impact on operation for power interruption < 4ms

• Inrush limiting as per ETSI EN 300 132-2

• Redundancy of Power Supply

• Fuse protection in case of overloads/failures.
